Basically this: This reasoning doesn't even sound like speed, it sounds like an ability, which I've even constructed a sandbox for. But if you want to understand the issue: Infinity is not a number but a concept that does not have properties or can be applied to numbers naturally, hence why you can multiple, add, subtract, or divide infinity as much as you want and it would still be infinity, it'd be like if I did love + love effectively. Due to this, I think the idea of trying to find things that "break" the speed formula doesn't make much sense for a system made for well, speed. For one, no character that isn't tier 1 could ever have true infinite speed since there's always some action or step they have to do that would already break them out of being infinite. Hence why it being an ability makes more sense then anything. Movement in 0 time? Speed Transcendence, Timeless Void Traversal, or Limitless Traversal either as I suggested in the sandbox would all work for that. Instantaneous Actions/Movement in 0 time? That should just be a speed tier either for FTL, SoL or Instataneous depending on the verse, since once you're at SoL speeds time is effectively 0 for you. Movement in 0 time would also just be Timeless Movement. Now then, I said only tier 1s would keep Infinite? But should Infinite as a speed name even stay? Well, let's discuss it. I feel "Limitless" would work better for a speed name, for the following reasons: So then who would qualify for Limitless Speed? Tier 1s obviously as they have no limits. Though for characters? Anyone that's canonically and narratively infinitely growing. We already know the obvious example with Saitama. You may ask how will someone with that speed tiering work in a versus thread? Well 90% of the time most of them aren't really made for versus threads to begin with but that would be something to be debated about in the thread itself. What if a character surpasses a character with limitless speed? Well if they do and they're not infinitely growing themself, then the character never had limitless speed to begin with. It should be logically consistent with the purpose of the speed. Can a character be higher into limitless then another? Well, using the Saitama vs. Garou fight it showed both were growing endlessly but Saitama was growing at a faster rate thus he was higher in speed then Garou due to that, so as long as it's cases like that, yes you can have characters higher into limitless. Does crossing X, Y, or Z grant limitless speed? No. If there's any other questions regarding this feel free to ask and I'll try to answer.

So there's no Infinite speed on this wiki anymore essentially, just Limitless (Ad Infinitum) Speed?

Basically unless you just want to count tier 1s as true Infinite/Limitless.
| ||
How do you qualify for this?

Seems reasonable enough i'm in agreement

I concur with the original revision position.
