Background

The Ur-Dragon is a primordial being in the MtG multiverse. It is the embodiment of all dragons, and gave birth to Nicol Bolas and Ugin along with a lot of other elder dragons. Despite being teased to exist very early in the MtG story back in 2000 and maybe even before that, it was only printed as a card in Commander 2017: Draconic Dominance
