Dimensionless Existence

Introduction

Dimensionless Existence is a the state of being for characters who lack (or in some cases are superior) to the concept of dimensions. They are much different than merely zero-dimensional creatures, as rather than simply lacking axis of movement making them geometrically infinitesimal in every possible direction, they conceptually lack or are superior to the concepts of dimensional physics. In fiction, these tend to be portrayed as an ability that makes the character essentially untouchable or they can be a super cosmic beings of a higher order than any-dimensional creatures though at the end of the day it's still treated as an ability.

As noted, these characters that have no dimensional limitations. A being or an object which is outside or beyond the concept of dimensions. This is something completely formless, abstract, metaphysical and transcendental. The usual scale does not make sense against a beyond dimensional object. Such beings can not be affected by destruction within the dimensions of time and space, or physical matter and energy. Within such a beyond dimensional "space", a dimensional structure with any number of dimensions can be placed, because there are no restrictions regarding dimensions.

Classification

Type 1: Non-Dimensional: Those whose nature lacks any form of dimensionality. Specifically, these are adimensional objects that can be found in universes with an emphasis on very advanced mathematics and geometry, such as ultimate ensembles, or in universes where there are characters with various dimensionless characteristics. In this state they will be atemporal and aspatial objects on all scales and levels, meaning the concept of physics has no influence on them. They usually fall under a transdual nature, which makes them physically invulnerable. Do note this state requires a direct showing of a transcendence of dimensionality itself not just existence or reality. Such characters have the same capabilities as high-dimensional entities, only being superior in relation to any geometric size, that is, any type of physics will be insignificant in comparison to them. The scale of a type 1 is far beyond what one would regularly expect, so merely being nonexistent, transdual, existing outside or above reality, etcetera wouldn't alone prove type 1. The user must be completely dimensionless themselves, and transcend dimensionality, which encompasses the totality of existence.

• Examples: Chozo Ghost (Metroid), Lavos (Chrono Cross) Giygas (Mother)

Type 2: Beyond-dimensional: Dimensionless beings whose nature is not only different but also conceptually superior to the very concept of dimensionality, along with every concept. The difference between Non-Dimensional beings and Beyond-dimensional is while non-dimensional beings can be considered adimensional objects within a dimensional space that are transcendent to everything in it, beyond-dimensional beings are in a state beyond all concepts of reality.

Valid Examples of Dimensionless Existence

• The Darkness Beyond Time: The Darkness Beyond Time is directly stated to be a plane beyond dimensions, requiring an object that transcends space-time to reach. With it's other name being the "Darkness Beyond Time". Being an area with no beginning or end. All things erased go to the Darkness Beyond Time, showing it's a dimensionless void.

• Giygas "Bizarre" Dimension: It is directly noted that Giygas' existence is a "bizzare dimension" to Pokey, and Cosmic beings like Ness, where space, time, and everything is erased, including Paula's call for help. Giygas' domain is noted as a place out of and beyond time and space.

• The Heavens: In The Legend of Zelda the heavens is a realm pre-dating even the primordial void of Hyrule, all concepts were created after the Heaven's Existence and it exists above all concepts created by the Golden Goddesses, including dimensions. More on how the heavens work can be found here.

Possible Uses

Type 1

• Reality Separation: Their natural existence would be such due to not being bound by any axis.

• Nondualism: Many characters of this kind are detached in relation to duality in addition to the concepts of space and time and other dualities.

• Higher-Dimensional Manipulation: In many cases, these beings possess the same capabilities as higher-dimensional ones, but on a level where any dimensional size does not matter.

Type 2

• Inapplicable Speed: The concept of distance (at least in a spatial-dimension sense) does not apply to them. The concept of speed is inapplicable.

• Nondualism: Many characters of this kind are transcendent in relation to duality in addition to the concepts of space and time and other dualities.

• Higher-Dimensional Manipulation: In many cases, these beings possess the same capabilities as higher-dimensional ones, but on a level where any dimensional size does not matter.

Notes

• Dimensionless Existence requires dimension to be mentioned in some way whether it be a character transcends dimensions or in the example linked with Giygas are viewed as a bizarre dimension, denoting they're a different form of dimensionality and with Giygas already having transcendence and existing as a pure void, proving his placement here. So even if other requirements are met, the dimension one is the most important and needs to be proven.
  • Do note however for examples like Giygas a universe or dimension viewed as bizarre isn't always qualifiable for dimensionless existence, Giygas has a special case for this. A universe being viewed as bizzare with a different rule system would not give dimensionless existence, same if the dimension is merely just a differently structured dimension then usual. Context matters.

• Dimensionless Existence is not given through existing in a higher plane beyond a dimensionless realm does not grant you dimensionless existence. Dimensionless existence has nothing to do with the Tiering System which is based off levels of power, thus one can be beyond a dimensionless plane and still exist in a 3-D reality.
  • To add on to this, one cannot get Dimensionless Existence for existing in a higher plane beyond space and time as this doesn't prove a dimensionless realm, in most cases a higher temporal realm or an atemporal/aspatial realm or merely just a higher heiarchy that can still be a standard 3-D reality.

• Dimensionless Existence is not given through being a pure void, existing outside or before the multiverse or just transcending concepts. Think of it as an all squares are rectangles but not all rectangles are squares scenario. It specifically must have a transcendence of dimensions. Though transcending all concepts could potentially grant type 2 depending on the circumstance. However, do not use a character transcending multiple concepts as a reason for why they would qualify for all.
  • Additionally being a plane or space outside of universes and space-time alone would not qualify.

• Dimensionless Existence is not given through a character destroying all dimensions and still existing or alternatively a character getting hit by this attack and still existing. Both of these are merely a Resistance to Dimension Manipulation & Higher-Dimensional Manipulation.

• Dimensionless Existence is not given through existing beyond a dimensional being. This does not prove one is dimensionless, just that they're beyond an N-dimension. Such as a 4D being is dimensionally beyond a 3D being.

• Dimensionless Existence is not given through being Low 1-A or 1-A as stated prior it has nothing to do with the tiering system and one can be Low 1-A/1-A while still being 3-D.
