The Backyard

Guilty Gear has a more simplicities cosmology, with only one known alternate universe, albeit the universe is "greater" than ours. This universe is known as The Backyard. The Backyard most simply explained is "a relationship between a game and a computer" by Daisuke Ishiwatari, the Backyard being the computer and our universe being the game.

The Backyard is a "superior dimension" that is the source of all magic, as well as being composed of high-density information that governs all of creation. It is capable of rewriting the rules of the universe in any way as well as being able to mess with the fate of the world. That Man created "The Cube" in the Backyard, an isolated space the constitutes the present world from the outside. By hacking into the Backyard's chord, That Man can change the present world into whatever he wants. The Backyard is also defines the fundamental truths of the world, and using magic is borrowing some "reason" from the Backyard. It can be used to amplify your power. The Backyard is also connected to people's dreams, which will be important soon.

If someone enters the Backyard, their soul is crushed through sheer information density and are turned into dust.

Magic, Higher-Dimensional Manipulation, Information Manipulation, Law Manipulation, Fate Manipulation, Dream Manipulation, Truth Manipulation, and Statistics Amplification. Resisting the effects of the Backyard would be Resistance to Soul Manipulation and Matter Manipulation

Absolute World

Since the Backyard is connected to people's dreams, Absolute World allows these dreams to essentially merge with reality, allowing the user to essentially rewrite reality in their image and do essentially whatever they want.
