Tell the master that I am the hunter and he is the game. And Hien, next time challenge me with all your might.
~ Hiryu to Hien

Background

Hiryu was an orphan of Asian heritage, who was enlisted into the Strider training program at an incredibly young age. Alongside his friends (Cain, Sheena, and Kubira), Hiryu rose the ranks of the Strider program and became incredibly skilled. So skilled, in fact, that he was the youngest Strider to ever reach the Special A Rank. Because of this, and his mastery of the Cypher weapon, Hiryu gained a great reputation among his peers.

Hiryu eventually developed a sibling relationship with fellow Strider, Mariya, who he saw as an older sister. However, one day, Mariya suddenly went insane and murdered ten Striders. Although begrudgingly, Hiryu tracked Mariya down and killed her. Due to the emotional weight put on him by her murder, Hiryu sought death, and would take on extremely risky missions in hopes of dying in combat.

After several missions, Hiryu realized that seeking death by combat was futile, as nobody was able to match his skill when he fought in such an unhinged and uncaring way. Hiryu instead decided to revoke his Strider status, and retire to Mongolia. His retirement would not last long, unfortunately.

Called back into a mission evoked by his friend, Cain, Hiryu took up the Strider status once more. Together with Cain, the two discovered a secret project known as the ZAIN Project, which they thwarted. Not long after, however, a mysterious figure shrouded the Earth, calling himself Grandmaster Meio.

Grandmaster Meio had appeared on Earth from far-off in space, and sought to wipe all life from Earth to build his empire from the ground-up. In order to accomplish this, Meio built the Third Moon, which would wipe all life from the planet if not stopped. Taking on the challenge of protecting the Earth, Hiryu travelled to the Third Moon.

After a legendary clash between Hiryu and Meio, the Grandmaster was seemingly slain. The Third Moon combusted as Hiryu travelled to the Earth below, content with his victory. Unbeknownst to the Strider, however, Meio survived; this would only be the beginning of a battle that spanned countless centuries.

Nearly two thousand years passed, time enough for the world to recover from everything that had wounded it. However, a rogue Strider known as Hein discovered Meio, and gave him the means to return. Throwing aside his previous plans, Meio decided he would destroy the entire Earth, and relocate to another planet of his choosing.

For several years, Grandmaster Meio was able to reinstate his influence over the planet, until nearly everything on Earth was a byproduct of his creation. Fortunately, before he could complete his plans, Hiryu rose from the shadows and faced his nemesis once more. Baffled by Hiryu’s return, Meio was struck down once and for all.

Classification: Special A Rank Strider, Demon of Destruction

Alignment: True Neutral (Hiryu holds no allegiances to anyone except for his employers, as is the way of a Strider. This means that he is to carry out any order directed to him, regardless of morality or who it means he needs to take out. This includes his own sister, Mariya, who he was ordered to kill, and thus killed, although he was deeply emotionally hurt by this) | Chaotic Good (After being ordered to kill Mariya, Hiryu's moral compass was shaken. He used to carry out any order without question, but now found himself unable to do so. Hiryu spent many missions simply hoping to die in battle, a selfish desire to end his emotional turmoil. When this proved useless, he left the Strider Organization as a whole. He later directly opposed the Strider Organization, and their ZAIN Project, for the sake of saving the world) | Chaotic Good (Hiryu has established himself as a hero, who fights against any evil, but at his own discretion. He will fight for the Strider Organization when he agrees with it, but disobeys it when he doesn't. Still, he was more than willing to put his life on the line and stop Grandmaster Meio, when he posed a threat to the entire world) | Chaotic Good

Dimensionality: 3-D

Attack Potency: Likely Wall level (Can defeat other trained martial artists. Should be comparable to his older self, who could easily break through a stone wall, and can casually cut through ceramic armor) | Small Building level (Was stated to be far stronger than before. Has been shown to consistently completely vaporize humans) | Continent level (Considered an entire battleship to be a toy. Could completely overpower both the Anti-Gravity Device and Grandmaster Meio, which maintained the Third Moon which was going to wipe out all of humanity, and which exploded upon their defeat) | At least Continent level (Should be far stronger than before. Once again completely overpowered both the Anti-Gravity Device and Grandmaster Meio)

Durability: Likely Wall level | Small Building level | Continent level | At least Multi-Continent level

Striking Strength: Likely Wall Class | Small Building Class | Continent Class | At least Continent Class

Lifting Strength: Athletic Human

Attack Speed: Likely Massively Hypersonic | Massively Hypersonic | Massively Hypersonic | Faster Than Light

Reaction Speed: Likely Massively Hypersonic (Should be comparable to his two-year-older self) | Massively Hypersonic (Hiryu can react faster than Shadow Tag Bullets, which are compared to anti-aircraft fire) | Massively Hypersonic (Should be as fast as before, could similarly outpace Shadow Tag Bullets) | Faster Than Light (Should be far faster than before. Could outpace the Snow Leopard Guard, who can turn itself into a ball of light)

Stamina: Superhuman (On multiple different instances, Hiryu has gone on adventures that require him to take on Meio’s entire fleet without rest. Often times these quests take place over multiple days, though Hiryu’s ability to perform never seems to dwindle)

Range: Standard Melee, Extended Melee with Cypher, Tens of Meters with Options

Intelligence: Extraordinary Genius Intelligence (Hiryu is an incredibly intelligent and highly-trained warrior, capable of adapting to nearly any battle that comes his way. He’s existed for around two thousand years, and is capable of defeating Grandmaster Meio, who himself is centuries old)
