Parkour
Background
Parkour is a movement-based ability that enables a user to navigate complex environments with speed and efficiency by using only the human body. Inspired by military obstacle course training and later refined as a discipline, parkour focuses on fluid, practical traversal by vaulting, climbing, jumping, and running across natural or urban landscapes. In fictional contexts, characters using parkour often demonstrate agility far beyond human norms, combining acrobatics, environmental awareness, and adaptive movement under pressure.
Parkour is not merely about movement, but about strategic decision-making in motion—choosing optimal paths in real time and executing with flawless timing and bodily control. It is often used by spies, assassins, scouts, or vigilantes to maneuver through areas inaccessible to others, escape pursuit, or infiltrate locations silently and swiftly.

- Rapid vertical or horizontal traversal of terrain, including scaling walls or rooftops.
- Reaching areas inaccessible to normal movement by using precise jumps or environmental manipulation.
- Dodging enemy attacks by swiftly weaving through terrain and structures.
- Escaping confined or hostile environments without needing traditional exits.
- Pursuing targets through dense or dangerous areas with little slowdown.
Practical Uses
- Perfect for environments with uneven, elevated, or obstructed paths.
- Useful for infiltration, escape, scouting, or reconnaissance missions.
- Allows for non-lethal evasion or pursuit over raw combat.
- Grants a form of mobility advantage in urban or terrain-based conflicts.
- May synergize with other powers like Wall Scaling, Agility, or Stealth.
Potential Types
- Traditional Parkour: Based on real-world movement focused on practicality over flair.
- Superhuman Parkour: Enhanced by inhuman speed, reflexes, or agility.
- Combat Parkour: Integrating movement with acrobatic fighting styles to attack while navigating terrain.
Possible Limitations
- Cannot be used effectively in flat or open spaces with no elevation or obstacles.
- Requires momentum, timing, and a path—blocked routes or abrupt walls may hinder usage.
- Can be compromised by injury, fatigue, or terrain that limits mobility.
Users
- Hazel Flood (South of Midnight): Hazel is able to hang on ledges and jump to other ledges, being capable of doing this even while there's a storm.
