Background

SCP-999 is a large, amorphous, gelatinous mass of translucent orange slime that releases a pleasing odor and gives one an immediate mild euphoria from just touching it.

It loves all animals, along with humans, being willing to risk its life to save them and other animals. It is one of the few SCP allowed to move around the Foundation building and is much beloved by the Foundation.

• Protective: Even with its infantile behavior, SCP-999 has a love for all animals and life, protecting the agents being attacked by SCP-682 and leaped in front of a person to take a bullet fired at them.

• Docile and Loving: SCP-999 is a happy and loving creature, always wanting to play "tickle fights" with people and will never purposefully harm someone, apologizing through whimpers and gurgles when it does. It especially goes out of its way to help people with depression and similar issues.
