Melodii is the protagonist of Scratchin' Melodii, a genderless child who lives in JamWell. They were relaxing at home when the government came to tell them they must do community service for vandalism, with Melodii not realizing it was illegal. They set off on a journey to do community service, helping people around town and running into multiple people.

Name Meaning
Melodii's name is naturally a reference to the term "melody" in music. This is even shown with their lack of gender, as the correct bathroom for them is one with a music note.
Appearance
General Description: Melodii has light skin, short light brown hair with a pompadour and side bangs, slightly flushed cheeks, a small nose, hazel irises, white pupils, and a short stature.
Clothing/Outfit: Lilac headphones with purple quarter-note speakers and a yellow microphone attached. A pink sweater over a white shirt. Lilac shorts. Pink shoes with yellow soles.
Items: The AGES NoteStar, a flat pink turntable and keyboard that is curved in the front.
Appearance Variations:
- 3D Dimension: Their pupils become light pink, similar to Jamtine's.
- Toddler (Portrait): Maintained their current appearance despite their obvious short height, with a small fringe in the middle of their forehead. Their shoes didn't have yellow soles, and they wore a light magenta beanie with the word AGES written in white on the brim.
- Full Game Illustration: Their hair is darker and has sharper angles. Their sweater and shoes are more red, and they have brighter colors.
Personality
- Silly/Serious: Melodii switches between silly and serious depending on the situation.
- Caring: Melodii cares for people and is normally neutral in a situation, helping others out if they need it. Usually tries to calm people overthinking things with simple answers[1].
- Confused: Melodii is confused by and scared of conflict and usually only pays attention to what they need to do. This is shown during any of the rival screens where they make a confused and scared face by how they got into that situation.
- Laid-Back: Melodii is generally laid-back. Even when getting a bad rank in the results screen, they do not give an over-the-top reaction and shrug it off, saying "Eh, I guess that works[2]."
- Naive: Melodii is somewhat naive, having admitted they did not know vandalism was illegal until the government said so.

Relationships
The Sweetz Siblings
The Sweetz Siblings were Melodii's babyistters that got them into graffiti art. At first they think Melodii is going corporate when they say they're no longer going to vandalize[2], but after they realize it's due to the government's involvement, they tell Melodii that graffitiing property that the neighbor is chill with is fine[2]. When leaving Melodii notes that they love them[2].
When needing to go to NitroFunk labs, Melodii's mom doesn't want them going by themself so Cinnabay comes to help[2].
Nami
Melodii frist meets Nami at Groove Coast meditating[2]. She was able to tell Melodii's name due to the dolphins[2].
She asks Melodii where they are going too with Melodii noting McWaves to get a job there but Nami also wants a job there to get burgers for free thus they get into a battle[2].
After the battle Nami is stuck loading, seeming distracted by something.
Nami shows up in the background for grease poppin, getting a burger and afterwards when Melodii turns out getting a job at McWaves when they're older, they suggest hiring Nami who instantly appears behind the counter.
Jamtine
Melodii runs into Jamtine when walking past her house[2]. Jamtine starts crying because she thinks she's already late and that it must be past 11:30 with Melodii telling her to calm down as its only 10:15[2].
Melodii asks Jamtine what's going on, where she apologizes to them for freaking out and tells them that they wanted to apply to McWave's. Melodii tells Jamtine they're also going to apply with Jamtine saying she has to get the job and offers to give Melodii whatever money they need.
Melodii says they don't need any money, they just need to pay their debt to society and asks why Jamtine needs the job when she already makes money selling cookies and milk.
Jamtine tells them that she's not looking for money, there's a boy she likes that eats there everyday and wanted to work there to get closer to him.
Melodii suggests instead of getting a job, that she should just bake him something. Jamtine at first doubts he'd like her cooking but Melodii tells her that everyone loves Jamtine's cooking.
She then asks Melodii if they want to help her make cookies and Melodii agrees.
She thanks Melodii for the help as Melodii wishes her luck.
Synthz McWave
Synthz welcomes Melodii to McWave's saying that they've gotten taller and ask them what they're in for.
Melodii notes they're actually there for the job opening but Synthz notes he thinks they're too young and they're not for child labor.
He instead offers for Melodii to be his little helper until the end of the lunch rush which Melodii agrees too.
He thanks Melodii for helping out and gives them a signature for their community serivce. He also suggest looking into the internship he saw posted at a bench.
Rensa
Not much is known currently for how the rival battle between Rensa and Melodii started, though they seem to be facing each other in a puyo puyo match.
Pitaya
Not much is known currently for the reason Pitaya and Melodii are fighting, however, it is likely a training bout given the lyrics of the song.

- Initially the developer stated that Melodii can go by any pronouns, but after noticing people were only using she/her to avoid that they're non-binary, they retconned their pronouns to They/Them[5].

- Melodii's hair is based off Alex Kidd and their voice is a male vocaloid[15].
- Melodii wears pink because it is LJ's favorite color[16].

Misconceptions
Melodii's design is intended to be feminine
Some argue this due to Melodii's androgynous look and that their name sounds somewhat feminine, however the developer directly notes this was never intended and that their design was partly inspired by Alex Kidd due to them not being able to tell what Alex Kidd's gender was when they were little[5].
Melodii's Gender is Left up to Interpretation
This has been directly debunked by the developer[6]. They have always been nonbinary and it was never meant to be an interpretation or based off personal belief.
