Forum - Before Making a Revision Thread

This is mainly for newcomers that wish to make revision threads to update a character to extremely high tiers (since I get a lot of them in my DMs and they're usually the same spiel of trying to get a character to tier 1 or now would be 2-A+).

Along with a quick couple of things that will instantly not get an upgrade through:
Creation If the feat at all has to do with Creation then you're most likely not getting an upgrade, you can read more about this on our Creation vs. Destruction page. We do not scale creation to physicals at all.

There is a very rare case where it'd apply but it's so rare that I don't see much of a point of even listing it. In most cases too in that rare event the character will have physical feats backing it up anyways.

Transcendence If the feat at all has to do with a realm or character being beyond space-time or beyond some form of realm then that's also not going to get a tier, you'd get transcendence off of that along with other nifty abilities.

The only other case it gets a tier is when you have transcendence in its truest sense (basically like the Abrahamic religion idea of God), but that also requires you to verifiably prove absolute infinity too.

Also transcendence does nothing for speed so no upgrades for speed will go through because of that.

Non-Instant Destruction If the feat is not instantaneous then the character is getting an overtime not a direct tier, yes this includes even if the cosmology contains infinite universes. I know a pretty common argument against this is "tier 2 is infinite so shouldn't even overtime still be the same as instantaneous?" Well if you're directly interacting with a concept like infinity and doing the impossible which is destroying an infinity overtime then no it would not be the same as instantaneous, realistically the object or thing wouldn't be infinite since it should take you an infinite amount of time to destroy infinite of something so I think trying to apply that logic to a paradoxical aspect leads to more problems then solutions, simply put, if the feats is done overtime it's clear it's not meant to be the same as a character doing it instantaneous and that was the intention.

Dimensional Tiering If the feat at all has to do with something being a higher dimensional space or the character being higher-dimensional, that will grant no upgrade to tier, you can read more about this here. You can get nifty abilities through it however.

Reality-Fiction Transcendence We do not at all use Reality-Fiction Transcendences, the explanation can be found here.

Philosophical Models Anything trying to use philosophical models to upgrade to tier 1 is in most cases a no. The only real exception so far is George Cantor's Absolute Infinity as that is both a mathematical and philosophical ideology. If you can find philosophies that have some mathematical basis then they can be reviewed (such as if a verse uses Platonism's world of ideas with a mathematical model) to see if they can also be used but most philosophical models are a no.

Along with this, there's requirements for Tier 1 explained on the tiering system that would need to be met.
