On Feburary 2nd, 2021 at 15:10 (this is not a joke) one of the most controversial versus threads of Codex during its 2021-2022 era was made. Now you may say, what was it? Goku vs. Superman? Sonic vs. Mario? Link vs. Cloud? No uh, it was... Skid & Pump vs. Yukari Yakumo. ...Yeah.

Anywho to not commemorate this 5 year anniversary (cause we're way past the month it happened), let's do it again! Last time was during a period where the Yukari profile was pretty lacking and had cropped imgur screenshots (something that was always planned to be removed so when the imgur links were deleted it made things easier), now it has over 700k bytes worth of information.

I couldn't find any of the old rules cause the thread is dead and no one archived it, but I don't even think that would apply for current versus thread standards.

I would honestly be shocked if this one is somehow even a 0.1 percentage as controversial as the old one.

I guess if you want to be technical, it'd function more as inconclusive then as a loss cause the dance/SI can't actually effect her, but Yukari is enough of a troll that she would just dance to the song and fuck around.

Could Yukari be considered unaffected by SI? Because I don't see resistance to it in her profile or even anything like that, Skid and Pump are kind enough to make gods dance beyond comprehension, I don't think Yukari is that different.

So the entire plot of Hopeless Masquerade is a popularity system where it shifts people to a specific faith, Youkai are completely immune to this and go to no faith. On top of this, Gensokyo functions under a different system of common sense and logic so the typical SI wouldn't work on them.

Context: The Taoi, Shinto, and Buddhist points are the points towards what faith you follow but if you wear anything that makes you into essentially a youkai they cannot be moved by the faiths and automatically start at -2 for all 3 religions.

I suppose that could help, but I think that regardless of that I would not completely deny the influence because one is based on religious beliefs and the other is based on the ability to Induce dance, which are very different things although the popularity system does make me doubt ifIt could affect Yukari, I guess it's 50/50 because of her personality where she is constantly bored.
