An older and more experienced curse user attempted to outmaneuver the curse manipulator into getting closer, only to fall into Suguru's trap. In his fight with Toji Fushiguro, Suguru managed to surprise the Sorcerer Killer for just a moment. He moved behind Toji knowing his confidence would keep his guard down and nearly absorbed the inventory curse as a means to cut off Toji's weapons supply.
