Background

Del is a cranky alligator villager in the Animal Crossing series. His name could possibly be a reference to crocodiles. His Japanese name, his color scheme, and his metallic/robotic appearance appear to be a reference to the Japanese battleship Yamato. Del is among the few villagers who are not technically animals, along with Coco, Sprocket, Stitches, Ribbot, and others.
