Background

Taako is a player character in The Adventure Zone: Balance campaign controlled by Justin McElroy. He is a high-elf wizard with a chaotic good alignment who often provides comic relief. He is originally from New Elfington. Prior to meeting Merle Highchurch and Magnus Burnsides, he hosted a traveling cooking show, 'Sizzle It Up with Taako,' but fled after forty people died in the show's final episode.

While initially acting like an "idiot wizard", it was only a ruse to mess with people and is truly a highly educated and powerful wizard who's a master in many fields of magic, can recognize powerful spells just from seeing them and figuring out when the party was trapped in a mind prison, as well as a master manipulator, such as when he tricks Garfield, the deals warlock, into giving up his most valuable possession. He's also usually the one to come up with plans and ideas that ultimately work out in the end, such as when he suggests a plan to stop the Hunger without severing the Prime Material Plane from the others in the Planar System)
