Background
Metal Gear D is the fourth Metal Gear being predated by Metal Gear ZEKE, Metal Gear Sahelanthropus, and its prototype TX-55 Metal Gear. Three years after the Outer Heaven Uprising, Dr. Drago Pettrovich Madnar was dismissed by the west as a radical mad man and was shut out by the scientific community. With no place to go Madnar willing joined Zanzibar Land and help them create the new Metal Gear. After its creation, Metal Gear D was used to attack nuclear disposal sites and other neighboring countries letting Zanzibar Land steal nuclear weapons from those areas along with kidnapping Dr. Kio Marv. With Zanzibar Land now being the only country with nuclear weapons the west yet again sent Solid Snake to stop the conflict. During His time in Zanzibar Land Gray Fox would use Metal Gear D to try and stop Snake from rescuing Dr. Marv multiple times and with Snake eventually fighting Gray Fox and destroying Metal Gear D once and for all.
