It features Pit, the main protagonist of the series, on his quest to defeat Medusa and restore peace to Angel Land.
The original game spawned two sequels; Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters on the Game Boy in 1991 and, the most recent game to date, Kid Icarus Uprising, directed by Masahiro Sakurai, released on the Nintendo 3DS handheld system in 2012. The series has yet to see a new game, but is represented in the Super Smash Bros. series.
Power of the Verse
The verse is moderately powerful with most of the high-tier characters, as of Uprising, peaking at Country level and low to mid-tiers sitting at Island level.
The verses top-tier however, Dyntos, is far more power with an extremely casual Multi-Galaxy to Universal level feat and is directly stated to be far stronger than the likes of Hades and Palutena.
The verse also has quite a few hax with most of the more minor characters having Divine Protection and Immortality from the gods, various Status Effects, Durability Negation, etcetera.
