The Planet Smasher is a cosmic being from Devin Townsend's 9th studio album, Ziltoid the Omniscient. He first appears in the song "Planet Smasher", being summoned by Ziltoid after he decided that he wanted to destroy a planet for entertainment. The Planet Smasher ultimately refuses to help Ziltoid and leaves. Not much is known about the Planet Smasher, other than that his name is Herman and that he dislikes musicals.
