Background

Shantae is a critically acclaimed series of platformer games created by Matt Bozon and developed by WayForward, starring a half-genie named Shantae, who is Scuttle Town's Guardian Genie. The games follow Shantae's adventures across Sequin Land to keep Scuttle Town safe from evil, particularly her pirate nemesis Risky Boots, the self-proclaimed "Queen of the Seven Seas." The series currently consists of five titles, Shantae, Shantae: Risky's Revenge, Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero and Shantae and the Seven Sirens.

Power of the Verse

Shantae is a fairly powerful verse, with many characters being superhuman in strength and speed. It also has some notable abilities, such as Save and Load, Regeneration, Wish Granting, BFR, Soul Manipulation, Petrification, Curse Manipulation, Corruption and more.

Terms

• Light Magic: Light Magic is a type of magic that is notably had by genies. It can be used for a variety of abilities and spells to use in battle both offensively and defensively. Its most notable user is Shantae.

• Dark Magic: Dark Magic is the opposite of Light Magic, having the same general abilities. Though conversion of Light Magic to Dark Magic is possible, and Dark Magic can be dangerous when used by others as it can cause them to be corrupted or even death.

Verse Scaling

Every major character is above Techno Baron's feat of surviving a missile that was meant to destroy a palace, placing them at Large Building level. Scaling to anyone within Half-Genie Hero and after places them at Mountain level for scaling to Shantae having the quake dance, which can shift the entire planet and cause it to shake. The top tiers at the moment are Shantae, the Empress Siren, and Risky Boots.
