Background

Jesse is the main protagonist of the Preacher comics written by Vertigo. Jesse was a normal preacher until one day, he is told the story of the Genesis and how god has left the heavens. While talking to the church, he was hit with the powers of the Genesis and accidently vaporized the entire building. After this, he comes up with the goal that no matter what, he would try to get god back into heaven.
