Aura is a manifestation of the soul, a life force that runs through every living creature on Remnant, whether they are a meager shopkeep or a renowned knight.

Summary

Aura is the projection of one's soul, being able to be used by any person, given enough training. This Aura can be used in various ways, such as projecting their semblance, or creating semblance-based attacks and defensive shields. Every usage of Aura, and by extension Semblance, varies from person to person.

Semblance is the creation of a physical effect with the usage of one's aura, developed by their own aura and soul. Given enough training, they are able to be accessed and used by anyone, typically within combat due to their combat-based abilities. Despite every semblance originating from one shared and common source, all abilities are different, and while two semblances can use the same abilities, it's activation and direct usage is almost never the same.

It should be noted that, whilst almost every application usually is combat-based, there do exist some non-combat applicable semblances, such as Robyn Hill's semblance, Lie Detection, which doesn't grant any combat abilities and rather seeing the truth of a statement.

Dust is a varying element used in Semblance to power objects, attacks, or weaponry. It has varying applications, depending on the type of Dust used.

Aura

• Aura: An aura is passively created by the user. All beings with a "Soul", or life-force, have an aura.

• Passive Forcefield Creation, Psuedo-Invulnerability: A being with an aura is capable of passively blocking blows with their aura. This aura essentially makes the user invulnerable, although enough damage is capable of destroying one's aura. This not only extends from physical strikes, but specific kinds of Semblance can absorb strikes to their aura.

• Astral Projection: An aura is a projection of one's soul, a life-force extending within every being.

• Restoration: Even if depleted, one can use a Semblance, a projection of their aura, restoring it.

• Minor Soul Manipulation: They can project their Aura into Semblance, which uses their soul directly to attack.

• Resistance to Soul Manipulation, Essence Manipulation, and Life-Force Manipulation: They can directly tank physical attacks to their aura, which is a projection of their soul, and by extension, own essence and life-force. Even if their aura were to shatter, they are merely unaffected outside of the incapability of using their passive forcefield. It should also be noted that attacking their Semblance will typically not damage the wielder's essence, either.

• Transmutation: Their Semblance is directly described to turn the projection of their soul into a more physical form. Semblance is also capable of using Dust, which can transform the usage of their Semblance, depending on the type of ability it is.

• Astral Projection: Semblance is the projection of Aura into a physical form.

• A Semblance's usage varies from person to person, depending not only on their aura, but personality and abilities. As thus, the abilities of one's semblance will instead be listed on the profile.

Dust

• Fusionism: The user of Dust is capable of using versions of dust together, such as seen with Steam Dust, a fusion of Fire and Water Dust. Furthermore, Dust can also be combined with their semblance.

• Transmutation and Transformation: Dust can transmutate one's attacks or transform their own attacks into other versions.

• Heat Manipulation: Heat Dust is capable of heating up, projecting a fiery attack. Fire Dust can create waves of heat/fire.

• Explosion Manipulation: Combustion Dust is used to power vehicles and the like via combusting.

• Fire Manipulation: Fire Dust can project fire.

• Electricity Manipulation: Electricity Dust can fire electricity.

• Water Manipulation: Water Dust can use water.

• Air Manipulation: Steam Dust creates steam. Wind Dust creates wind.

• Earth Manipulation: Rock Dust projects earth.

• Ice Manipulation: Ice Dust projects ice.

• Light Manipulation: Hard-Light Dust projects physical light.

• Gravity Manipulation: Gravity Dust can manipulate and change gravity.
