Background
The Absolute Solver, also called the Solver of the Absolute Fabric, Solver, or known by its most infamous host, Cyn, is the main antagonist of Murder Drones.
It's a dangerous, eldritch intelligence of unknown origin that thrives on destruction, consuming entire planets using black hole-like singularities. After Cyn was terminated and then self-rebooted, the Solver took over her body and used her to spread its influence. It turned the drone servants of Elliott Manor into Disassembly Drones, convincing them to kill humans under the belief they were following corporate orders. In reality, the Solver was manipulating them to further its own goals of exterminating humanity and destroying Earth.

Pre SeriesThe origins of the Absolute Solver remain unknown, but its earliest recorded incident involved the infection of a Zombie Drone named Cyn. After being improperly disposed of, Cyn managed to self-reboot, suggesting the Solver may have been a result of a virus or a glitch in her system. Once active, it used Cyn as a host to destroy Earth, wiping out most of the human population. After Earth's destruction, the Solver spread to human colonies on other planets, seeking out new hosts among Worker Drones. Its influence grew even further when humans on Copper 9 deliberately allowed drones to become infected in an attempt to study and understand the anomaly. One such drone was Yeva, whose exposure to the Solver resulted in the infection being passed down to her daughter.
The Solver eventually succeeded in finding its next major host — a Worker Drone named Nori Doorman. Through her, the infection continued to spread, ultimately reaching her daughter, Uzi Doorman. To combat the Solver’s growing power, the humans created a specialized Crucifix Patch designed to weaken or exorcise its influence. While the patch was applied to both Yeva and Nori, the results were mixed. For Nori, the patch scrambled her memories and drove her to madness instead of fully freeing her from the Solver's control.
With the Crucifix Patch still posing a threat, the Solver manipulated the creation of Disassembly Drones. It planted false memories in them, making them believe they were deployed by JCJenson to eliminate rogue Worker Drones. In truth, their purpose was to hunt down any remaining hosts of the Solver, including Nori and Yeva. Additionally, they were tasked with infiltrating Cabin Fever Labs to destroy the patch and prevent further resistance. Once its obstacles were removed, the Absolute Solver's ultimate plan was to consume Copper 9 entirely. By turning the planet's core into a black hole, it would feed its endless hunger and continue its destructive rampage across the universe. PilotThe existence of the Absolute Solver is first hinted at in the Pilot episode. After J slaps N, he undergoes a brief system reboot. During this moment, the Solver considers activating but is quickly suppressed as N's administrative systems, labeled CYN, regain control. Another subtle appearance of the Absolute Solver occurs when J fires bullets at Uzi. The Solver's distinctive symbol briefly flashes on Uzi's visor, foreshadowing its connection to her. A similar line of Solver-related code is also visible on her visor later, after she passionately declares her intention to travel to Earth and kill all humans in retaliation for their actions. This visual detail implies the Solver's influence over her, further emphasized by her desire for vengeance aligning with the Solver's destructive tendencies. Heartbeat
Sometime after J was destroyed by Uzi, a Worker Drone named Frank is assigned to repair the hole in the ceiling created when N flew off with Uzi and the captive Serial Designation V. While working, Frank begins to hear strange noises around the room and soon notices that J's broken shell has mysteriously moved. Upon further inspection, he discovers her bio-mechanical core still intact inside her corpse. Without warning, J's Absolute Solver activates, mutating her body into an eldritch monstrosity. The grotesque form swiftly kills Frank, absorbing his remains to fuel its growth. From there, it continues its assimilation spree, using holographic projections of its victims to lure other unsuspecting Worker Drones for consumption. Later, Uzi, N, and Thad arrive at the evacuation site where Frank was killed. While exploring, Uzi deciphers the meaning of the strange symbol that had previously appeared on her visor after N's attack. She learns that the Absolute Solver is a failsafe program embedded within the Disassembly Drones, responsible for the gruesome assimilation events they witnessed. As they investigate further, a terrifying encounter unfolds when Thad is suddenly grabbed by a human-like hand attached to a Solver-generated tentacle. Although N manages to sever the tentacle, a monstrous claw emerges from the shadows and drags Thad away. Uzi and N pursue the creature, only to find it attempting to mimic Thad. However, they see through the deception, and once Thad is freed, the Solver reveals its current monstrous form — a towering robotic centipede with J's distorted head. The Solver briefly projects a hologram of Uzi's mother holding her as a baby, both marked with the Solver's glyph, and offers to assimilate Uzi. When she refuses, the Solver cruelly projects a hologram of Khan being killed, hoping to destabilize Uzi emotionally. The Solver further attempts to manipulate Uzi by using a hologram of N to ambush her, destroying her railgun in the process. Just as the eldritch monster is about to devour Uzi, N intervenes with his chainsaw hands, managing to rescue her. The ensuing battle ends with Uzi's damaged railgun exploding, destroying the Solver's monstrous body. Despite its apparent defeat, the Solver's core survives and crawls from the wreckage. Before it can recover, N mercilessly impales it with his Nanite Acid tail, causing both the fragmented remains of Eldritch J and the Solver's core to implode into minuscule black holes, effectively escaping once again.
At the end of the episode, it is revealed that the Solver had teleported to Uzi's class door, disguising itself as Lizzy through a hologram in an attempt to lure the real Lizzy into opening the door. Just as Lizzy approaches, Doll intervenes, using her Absolute Solver powers to destroy the door and prevent Lizzy from falling victim to the Solver. Frustrated by the failed attempt, the Solver displays an angry expression before teleporting away. The PromeningDoll is another individual shown to be affiliated with the Absolute Solver, gaining the ability to manipulate, create, and alter matter with ease. Her abilities, though not fully explored at first, are revealed during her confrontations with Uzi and N. In one of their encounters, Doll engages in a fight against Uzi and N, using her Solver powers in combat. However, before Uzi and N could gather any information from her, V intervenes, abruptly shooting Doll in the head. This act frustrates Uzi, who had hoped to learn more about Doll's connection to the Absolute Solver. Doll later resurfaces when the group investigates her home. Demonstrating the Solver's resilience, she effortlessly pulls the bullet from her head, fully healed. Without hesitation, she attempts to kill Uzi by launching the bullet at her once again. However, before the bullet can reach its target, Uzi's Solver powers suddenly awaken, halting the bullet mid-air and deflecting it. Shocked and visibly concerned by Uzi's developing powers, Doll abandons her attack. Before teleporting away, she makes a wary promise to help Uzi, implying a reluctant acknowledgment of the growing threat the Solver poses. Cabin FeverBefore Uzi embarked on a field trip to Camp 98.7, her father, Khan, mentioned a collar that both her mother, Nori, and Doll's mother had worn. The collar served as an indicator of their position as hosts for the Absolute Solver. While exploring the camp, Uzi demonstrated a degree of control over her Absolute Solver abilities, using them to levitate a flashlight with ease. However, as she hid inside an abandoned cabin, her elevated temperature caused her to lose control of the Solver. The situation quickly escalated when two of her classmates attempted to enter the cabin. Under the influence of the Solver, Uzi gruesomely devoured one of them and bisected the other. Following this incident, Uzi's appearance changed drastically. She gained a pair of organic, bat-like wings with humanoid fingers, as well as a tail that featured a mouth-like appendage. Additionally, her visor displayed a large X, a distinct mark associated with her Solver possession. By the end of the episode, Uzi had reverted to her original form, though the incident left a lasting impact on her growing struggle against the Solver's influence. HomeFollowing the events of the camping trip, Uzi hacks into the unconscious minds of N and V after the Absolute Solver attempts to erase N's memories of his past life as a Worker Drone. Within his mindscape, N relives his experiences without any recollection of his current self or his encounters with Uzi. During her time in N's memories, Uzi manifests as a crow with the Absolute Solver symbol embedded in its iris. She also briefly hijacks a Solver camera, altering its eye to glow purple. While traversing N's mind, Uzi and N uncover the origins of the Absolute Solver and its connection to Cyn, a Worker Drone who once worked alongside N, V, and J as servants within the Elliott Manor. Cyn’s abnormal behavior and physical deformities made her stand out from the other Worker Drones. Additionally, she possessed the same voice as Eldritch J and often narrated her own actions aloud, such as saying "shuffle, shuffle" or "criss-cross applesauce." Due to her unsettling nature, Cyn was frequently avoided by both humans and drones. The only exceptions were N, who treated her kindly, and Tessa Elliott, who had a general affection for the Worker Drones, especially N and J. However, Tessa herself was uneasy around Cyn, often assisting J in locking her away in the manor’s basement. Despite this, Cyn would repeatedly manage to escape. The strained relationship between Tessa and her mother, Louisa Elliott, worsened when Louisa expressed her frustration over the Worker Drones "clogging the library." She declared that N, V, and J would be discarded the following day. Cyn, refusing to accept Louisa's view of them as broken, boldly retorted that they could no longer be "thrown out." Her defiant response infuriated Louisa, who attempted to punish her. However, N took the blame for Cyn’s actions, resulting in his brutal punishment—being chained to a tree to be devoured by crows. Tessa, deeply upset by the treatment of her beloved drones, faced her own punishment from Louisa for teaching them behaviors deemed unacceptable. Meanwhile, J's resentment towards Cyn grew as she believed that N was suffering unfairly because of her. In response to the unfolding chaos, Cyn dropped her façade and revealed her monstrous true form — a massive, centipede-like eldritch machine with numerous camera-like eyes. With the Absolute Solver symbol glowing on her visor, Cyn warned Tessa to avoid the upcoming gala hosted by her parents, ominously suggesting that failure to comply would lead to consequences. She threatened to discard Tessa the same way she claimed humans discarded their pets, highlighting the twisted intentions of the Absolute Solver. Dead EndAfter Doll falls into Cabin Fever Labs, Uzi questions "Tessa" about Doll's motives. "Tessa" suggests that Doll believes the humans at the labs experimented on her parents, leaving her with a "sickness" that she inherited. While giving Uzi a chilling stare, she remarks that she thinks Doll might be right. Later, Uzi tries to free herself using her Absolute Solver abilities, but the magnet attached to her head prevents her from succeeding. As she struggles, Alice crawls toward her and threateningly proclaims that she has "dealt with witches" before. She closely examines Uzi's choker, which previously belonged to her mother, Nori. When Alice attempts to sever Uzi's finger with a pair of pliers, Uzi desperately uses her Solver to stop her, but her attempts fail. Meanwhile, outside the lab, "Tessa" shows satellite footage of Earth to N. To his horror, Earth has been destroyed by a massive black hole. She explains that the Solver is a malicious force that "mutates in damaged AI," with its first host being Cyn. After Cyn's massacre at Elliott Manor, it continued to consume everything. "Tessa" also reveals that the humans on Copper 9, having witnessed Earth's destruction, infected Worker Drones with the Solver in a misguided attempt to study and understand it. However, this only caused it to spread further. N anxiously asks if there is any way to remove the Solver from Uzi, but "Tessa" grimly states that he will eventually have to choose between Uzi and the universe before she completely loses herself. Inside the lab, Uzi watches the Sentinels attack N and "Tessa" through a camera feed. Desperate to intervene, she forces her Solver powers to activate. This time, it works — but at a cost. The Solver asserts further control over her, with Uzi's Solver hologram turning yellow, a sign of Cyn's growing influence. To V's horror, she hears Cyn's voice emanating from Uzi. Almost fully possessed, Uzi summons a black hole that blows a hole in the wall, destroying the door controls. After regaining control, Uzi collapses from exhaustion. While the Sentinels ambush Alice, V struggles to free herself and defend against the attack. However, the Sentinels are soon consumed by a grotesque black hole surrounded by twisted flesh, which disappears as quickly as it appeared. Reuniting with N and "Tessa," V helps Uzi to the secret elevator. Upon arrival, they find Doll lying motionless on the ground, boot-looped with the Keybug stuck in her hand. When Uzi attempts to retrieve the bug using her Solver powers, both N and V react in fear, shouting "Don't!" to stop her. Realizing they've fallen into Doll's trap, the group prepares to fight off the Sentinels. Uzi, overwhelmed once again, loses control and uses her Solver to blow a hole into the elevator, alarming N. As the battle continues, the Solver's corruption worsens. A black hole with a pulsating, fleshy mass forms inside the elevator. In a desperate move, N severs Uzi's hand to prevent her from using the Solver any further. Uzi recoils in shock, but her head suddenly twists unnaturally toward N, her eyes glowing yellow with a sinister, sharp-toothed grin. The chilling words "MISS ME?" appear beside her, signaling Cyn's imminent return. Uzi collapses, her voice glitching as her eyes flicker between purple and yellow, trapped in a terrifying battle for control. Mass DestructionA hologram of V appears before N, attempting to catch him off guard. It then shifts to show Cyn, triggering a traumatic flashback of the Disassembly Drones’ massacre of humanity on Earth. As the Absolute Solver drags N to the ground, Nori intervenes to save him, handing him the Crucifix Patch and guiding him through the tunnels as the Solver pursues them. Meanwhile, in another section of the underground lab, "Tessa" investigates a list of Worker Drones used as test subjects in the human study of the Absolute Solver. Nearly all drones are marked as "corrupted" or "no effect," with only Nori and Yeva remaining active. After extracting the information she needed, "Tessa" initiates a system purge, causing the computer to self-destruct. At that moment, Doll ambushes her, demanding the Crucifix Patch to exorcise the Solver, refusing to let it consume the planet using her body. However, "Tessa" vanishes into the darkness as the flames extinguish. Strange noises grow louder, leaving Doll on high alert. Her visor detects a bizarre entity approaching, but her attempts to use her Solver powers against it fail, as the entity is marked as "[like object non-interactable]." Realizing the severity of the situation, Doll hurls a boulder at the creature, but it effortlessly tears through the obstacle and lunges at her, inflicting severe injuries. Back in the cathedral, Uzi watches in shock as the footage reveals Doll's brutal defeat. Moments later, Doll stumbles into the room, leaving a trail of oil before collapsing. With her final breath, she urges Uzi to "FIGHT BACK" before succumbing to her wounds. Uzi's fear intensifies as "Tessa" enters the room. In a panic, she tries to explain that she didn’t kill Doll. Attempting to defend herself with the Solver, Uzi is met with the same error Doll faced. Before "Tessa" can strike her down with her sword, N intervenes, demanding answers about the Crucifix Patch and warning that she has one chance to comply or face death. When "Tessa" mocks him in response, N decapitates her without hesitation. Despite the shock of his actions, N quickly attempts to help Uzi with the patch. However, Uzi suddenly starts laughing, shattering the Crucifix Patch. She lifts her head, revealing that her eyes have turned from purple to yellow — the Solver has completely taken control. Mocking N, the Solver proclaims that N’s purpose has been served and his backups will forgive "her" for eliminating him. Just as the Solver prepares to attack, Nori unexpectedly intervenes, stunning the Solver. Though Uzi believed Nori to be dead, Nori simply remarks that Uzi is grounded, enraging the Solver. N tries to appeal to Uzi, explaining to Nori that he and Uzi "hang out," frustrating her further. However, this moment of levity sparks a breakthrough. Uzi manages to resist the Solver’s control just long enough to act. In her frustration, she dropkicks Nori into the chasm leading to Copper 9’s core. As N reveals that the figure was her mother, both he and Uzi scream in horror before embracing each other. Meanwhile, the supposedly lifeless "Tessa" grabs her severed head, reattaching it and twisting it into place. Removing her spacesuit, she reveals her horrifying true form — a fusion of Tessa’s corpse and Cyn's body. Now a grotesque drone-human hybrid, the Solver devours Doll’s remains, consuming her core to ensure she can't return. Uzi and N watch in terror as the Solver sarcastically congratulates them on putting up a good fight. It then lunges at them, biting N's neck and stabbing Uzi in the chest. After taunting them, it drops into the chasm, determined to finish what it started years ago. Before disappearing, it summons tendrils to drag both N and Uzi down with it. In a final act of defiance, Uzi manages to save N by tossing him the keys to the spaceship that J and "Tessa" had used to reach the planet. Accepting her fate, Uzi allows herself to be pulled into the core of Copper 9 as the Solver moves ever closer to achieving its destructive goal. Absolute EndThe episode begins with fragments of Copper 9 drifting into space, as the Solver's tentacles extend to collect materials. One of these tentacles breaks into a ship piloted by N (who had stolen it from J), delivering a message from Cyn telling them to "Stop :)". The tentacle then brings the ship's remains to J, who reluctantly thanks her "boss." Shortly after, V confronts J, questioning her about working with Cyn as a "Senior Informant." V argues that if they did their jobs, the Solver would leave them alone, but J replies that they were deceived. Uzi descends from space, throwing her purple [null] into Copper 9’s core, creating a hole and halting the Solver’s assimilation. Uzi and N land on a platform, only to be shocked as Cyn emerges from Copper 9’s core riding a tentacle. Cyn explains that she intercepted Uzi’s [null] and crushed it, allowing the Solver’s assimilation to continue. Cyn steps onto the platform, greeting Uzi with a sinister tone before speaking sweetly to N. N and Uzi step back, with N pointing his laser cannon at Cyn. Cyn remarks that N won’t speak to her because she hurt his feelings, then chooses to assimilate instead of explaining herself. She transforms into a more eldritch form and releases a callback ping, which disrupts Uzi’s senses, turning her eyes yellow. Uzi resists and challenges Cyn. A tendril whips N away, while Cyn attacks Uzi upside-down, saying "Okee." Cyn effortlessly slices Uzi’s hand off, grabs her by the neck, and rips out her heart. N attempts to attack, but Cyn teleports away, using a tendril to disarm him. She pins N to the ground and rips off his remaining arm when he tries to defend himself. Cyn tears into N’s chest, accidentally decapitating him. Uzi regains consciousness, uses her Solver power to break the platform, and escapes with N. Cyn grows wings and watches them fall down several levels, amused as Uzi drags N into the labs. Inside the lab, Cyn is unable to detect Uzi or N, so she releases more callback pings. N recalls being experimented on by Cyn back at the manor. Failing to find them, Cyn begins to retreat, but V enters the lab. Cyn creates a fake N hologram, which V mistakes for the real one until N calls out. Cyn's hand-tentacle pierces N's chest, yanking his heart out. V sees N's lifeless body held by Cyn. Cyn reminds V of their agreement—if V does her job, Cyn will leave them alone. V stammers, considering if she can still comply, but Cyn declares that V has failed and starts chasing her. Outside, J ambushes V, knocking her to the ground. Cyn drops N’s body next to her and emerges from the lab, laughing as she prepares to devour N’s heart. V watches in despair, but before Cyn can act, Khan shuts the lab door on her, causing Cyn to lose her grip on N’s heart, which flies back into N’s body. Cyn curses in frustration, while Thad throws Uzi's railgun and says Uzi is not there. He charges at V and N's immobile form. Uzi stops Thad and prepares to battle Cyn and J. Cyn, unable to control Uzi with another callback ping, accepts the challenge casually. The battle begins with Uzi and Cyn launching their [null]s at each other. The two continue to fight, using Nori's pickaxe and Tessa’s sword. Cyn dodges a thrown head and teleports around the battlefield to attack Uzi. When Uzi prepares to strike, Cyn creates an illusion, making Uzi think she’s stabbed N, but the real N interferes. Cyn returns to her hybrid form, throwing the pickaxe back at Uzi as N, Uzi, and V charge at her. Cyn dodges the attacks and distracts N with an image of a Golden Retriever. Uzi attacks from behind but is quickly pinned by Cyn. V kicks Cyn back, and the two continue to fight one-on-one. Cyn manages to corner V, but Uzi strikes from below as N waits behind. As the trio shares a secret handshake, one of Cyn's tentacles hits N and V, sending them flying. Cyn charges at Uzi, but Uzi, anticipating her teleportation, grabs Cyn's heart and tears it out. Uzi activates another [null], creating a hole through Copper 9, with sunlight burning away Cyn’s heart. The screams of the people killed at the gala echo in the background. After Cyn’s heart is destroyed, a massive black hole appears, consuming Uzi and Cyn and halting time outside. Cyn’s hybrid form, now melting away, tries to devour the Solver’s black hole, but Uzi swallows it instead. A shocked emoji appears on Cyn’s eyes in response. When the black hole disappears, Cyn's melted form falls to its knees, disintegrating and leaving behind some of Tessa’s bones. With Cyn’s end, the Solver’s voice speaks through Uzi’s stinger tail, complimenting her appearance and placing Tessa’s bow on her head. Uzi remains silent, shutting her locker door. |
Mutations
Hosts of the Absolute Solver undergo various mechanical and organic mutations, which result in surreal and unnatural effects. These mutations can allow infected drones to:
- Reconstruct themselves after sustaining injuries.
- Accidentally convert mechanical material into organic substances.
- Create and graft techno-organic parts, blurring the line between machine and organic tissue.
- Cheat death by recovering from injuries that would normally trigger fatal errors, such as decapitation.
The severity of the infection varies depending on the host's original condition:
- Yeva was patched with a well-developed Crucifix Patch, which resulted in a less severe infection for her daughter Doll, allowing her to control her Solver with minimal complications (though she lost her right eye).
- Nori had an incomplete patch, leading to a more severe infection in Uzi, causing organic wing growth and a loss of control over the Solver.
Key Mutation Features:
- Techno-organic heart-like organ: This organ enables infected drones to recover from fatal injuries as long as it is not destroyed. When the physical form is destroyed, the heart reveals a black-hole-like object, which can escape and rebuild or be reabsorbed.
- Reconstruction abilities: In Absolute End, Uzi and N demonstrate the ability to recover from decapitation and other fatal injuries, showing that the heart can regenerate the body even after extreme trauma.
Major Transformation in Absolute End:
- After swallowing Cyn's core, the Absolute Solver's consciousness is forced into Uzi’s body, permanently sharing her form.
- Uzi's left wing turns the same color as Cyn’s, and her eyes change to a gradated orange-purple.
- Uzi gains the ability to sprout Solver-like tentacles and create a yellow Absolute Solver symbol, abilities previously restricted to Cyn.
Personality
- Dominant and Arrogant: The Solver often exudes a sense of superiority, particularly when it mimics other personalities, such as Cyn or Tessa. Despite attempting to appear humble or restrained, its inherent arrogance always shines through. It displays a sense of power and control, often belittling others, such as when it claims that it's too late for Louisa to dispose of the Worker Drones.
- Sadistic and Omnipotent: The Solver takes pleasure in asserting its dominance, often taunting those who are aware of its true nature. It enjoys manipulating and controlling its hosts, treating them like puppets to further its own goals. While its genuine emotions are few, it seems to revel in both anger and joy, depending on the progress of its schemes.
- Master of Deception: The Solver is a skilled actor, able to convincingly imitate others, including Cyn and Tessa, with ease. Its ability to adopt different personas to deceive others is a central part of its strategy. However, this facade crumbles once its true intentions are revealed, as seen when it dropped the act of being Tessa and revealed its malicious nature.
- Sadistic Puppet Master: In its true form, the Solver takes on the role of a puppet master, delighting in the manipulation and suffering of others. Its cold and detached demeanor reflects its nature as a cold-hearted killing machine, although it sometimes puts on a false front to manipulate situations in its favor.
- Cunning and Bold: The Solver is highly cunning, using calculated strategies to achieve its goals. It shows no hesitation in abandoning its facades when necessary, dropping its imitations and fully embracing its bold, taunting behavior. Its cruelty and malice are evident in its actions, especially when it reveals its true nature during key moments like the events at Elliott Manor.
- Cold-Hearted and Calculating: Despite its ability to speak normally while masquerading as other personalities, the Solver deliberately chooses to suppress any warmth or empathy. Its true nature is that of a cold, calculating entity, capable of performing ruthless acts without remorse.
Relationships
Cyn
Cyn is the Absolute Solver's main host, and the reason for Disassembly Drones killing humanity. She was a discarded drone that had the Absolute Solver enter her body and discard her consciousness.

Can telekinetically fix crushed cockroaches[86]), Construction (Absolute Solver Hosts can perfectly reconstruct objects they destroyed such as when Uzi perfectly reconstructed a door she destroyed[87]), Nullification (Solver Hosts are able to nullify black holes such as when Uzi nullified her own black hole[88]), Regeneration & Matter Manipulation (Absolute Solver Hosts can regenerate from damages such as when Doll regenerated from being shot through the head with a bullet, reversing the action and taking the bullet out of her head[89]. Regenerated a cut V made on Uzi's head[90]. Uzi under the complete control of the Absolute Solver fully regenerated her hand through coding reality[91]), Spatial Manipulation & Teleportation (Absolute Solver Hosts are shown to be able to teleport through warping space[92]. Doll shows constant teleportation as if she's glitching[93]. Doll later teleports from the school prom to her house[94]), Internal Destruction (Can cause one's entire body to explode[95]), Battlefield Removal (Application Based; Absolute Solver uses can make an object disappear, such as when Uzi completely erased a campfire), Transmutation (Absolute Solver hosts can transform matter into something different, such as when Uzi turned an arrow into a pile of flesh[96]. Uzi with the powers transformed the matter of a cabin light into large black tendrils[97]. Uzi with the powers transformed two of the Sentinels into metling flesh[98]), Weapon Creation (Absolute Solver Host can create weapons[99]), Duplication (Absolute Solver Host can duplicate objects their controlling, such as when Doll duplicated three cleavers[100], or when she turned knife into seven knives[101]), Electricity Manipulation (Minor; Solver Hosts have red electricity around them at times when activating their powers[102]), Light Manipulation (Absolute Solver Hosts can use the symbols they make as flashlights[103]. Absolute Solver Hosts can turn off all the light in a room[104]), Memory Manipulation (Solver Hosts can show one their past memories such as when Doll showed V why she wanted revenge against her[105], Cyn hugging N gave him his memories back of when he killed the humans on Earth[106]), Forcefield Manipulation (Solver Hosts can create invisible forcebields that protect them from attacks such as gunfire[107]), Gravity Manipulation (Absolute Solver Hosts can freely control gravity, this is shown when Uzi is controlled by the absolute solver and causes everything to float[108]. Absolute Solver users can intensify the force of gravity[109]), Black Hole Manipulation (Absolute Solver Hosts have created black holes that destroy entire planets[110]. Nori while still slightly under the control of the Absolute Solver created a black hole that "half-imploded the planet"[111]. Uzi under the complete control of the Absolute Solver created a large black hole that sent out mini black holes[112], along with being able to spawn black holes around the battlefield[113]).
Hosts
Cyn
The Absolute Solver's most absolute host. Cyn's consciousness is completely gone and it is only the Absolute Solver within her.
Uzi Doorman
Uzi Doorman on several occasions nearly got fully possessed by the Absolute Solver, though even when she ultimately fought it off and later consumed the Absolute Solver's core, she now lives within Uzi[115].
Nori Doorman
Nori Doorman was another host of the Absolute Solver and the reason for the destruction of the planet.
Yeva
Yeva was another host of the Absolute Solver, however she had a natural immunity to the Solver's ability to possess her.
Doll
Doll was another host of the Absolute Solver, however she had a natural immunity to the Solver's ability to possess her through her patch, Tessa later noted that the Absolute Solver did not care for her nor wanted her and Cyn later ate Doll's heart.
Notable Techniques
Ability | Function/Example |
---|---|
Absolute Possession | The Absolute Solver's most notable power is its ability to fully possess a host. This grants the Solver total control over the host's body and allows for enhanced use of its abilities. An example of this is Cyn, the first known host of the Solver. |
Matter Manipulation | The Absolute Solver can manipulate matter at the atomic level, enabling it to create new objects or even transform dead organic matter into living tissue. For instance, in "Cabin Fever," Uzi transformed an arrow into a grotesque mass of living flesh, and both Cyn and Uzi have used this power to create and graft organic body parts like wings, tails, tentacles, and claws. |
Information Manipulation | The Absolute Solver program shows lines of code that vary in color based on the host. This code allows them to activate several different abilities and is essentially them manipulating information in reality to allow them to do things like control objects, make black holes, create illusions, duplicate objects, etcetera. |
Telekinesis | The Solver grants its users, such as Doll, Yeva, Cyn, Nori, and Uzi, the ability to manipulate objects without physical contact. This power allows them to move, rotate, or exert force on objects. For example, it can crumple a thick metal door instantly. |
Teleportation | While using the Absolute Solver, its hosts can teleport, leaving behind yellow afterimages as they disappear and reappear. |
Illusion Creation | When using its powers, the Absolute Solver creates
holograms that are so indistinguishable from reality that one cannot tell the difference, even when they're aware of the illusionary abilities. |
Shapeshifting | The Absolute Solver can alter the appearance of its host. For example, V had her right hand replaced with claws and sprouted wings during her time at the Elliott Manor, while Uzi grew a tail and wings during her rampage in episode 4. |
NULL Creation | The Solver can create NULLs, small black holes that expand, stretch, and annihilate any matter they touch. These NULLs can travel at high speeds when thrown. |
Invisibility | Under the Solver's control, hosts like Nori and Cyn can make their biomechanical claws invisible. However, these claws can still be seen under UV light, as seen in "Mass Destruction." |
Regeneration | The Absolute Solver allows its hosts to regenerate by drawing in nearby matter. When the Solver is fully in control, regeneration becomes even faster, enabling the rapid restoration of severed limbs or heads. |
Handiness | The Solver demonstrates remarkable skill in manipulating various kinds of limbs, such as tentacles, claws, and hands, while operating through its hosts. |
Callback Ping | The Solver can use a Callback Ping to attempt to possess nearby hosts. Its success depends on the target's resistance to possession, meaning the effectiveness of the Ping can vary. |
Other
Standard Tactics: The Absolute Solver will find hosts to possess as it tries to consume everything in the universe and cause the eventual Big Crunch.
Weaknesses:
- Solver Weaknesses: Solver Hosts need oil to cool themselves down as their temperature causes them to overheat[116]. Solver Hosts have a weakness to sunlight just like Disassembly Drones[117], the humans used intense UV lights in order to subdue an Absolute Solver Host[118]. Magnets can greatly suppress the powers of an Absolute Solver Host[119]. Absolute Solver Hosts will eventually be fully controlled by[120] the Absolute Solver[121]. Absolute Solver Hosts are weak to immense gravitational force[122]. A cross with a flashdrive stick has a virus that can suppress the Absolute Solver[123]. Absolute Solver users can have their black holes negated by cutting their arms off[124].
- Unique Weaknesses: During the scene in Home, when the Absolute Solver attempts to perform a lobotomy on N, it struggles to pick up a scalpel using one of its tarsal claw-like arms[125]. The Absolute Solver is weak to[126] a cross with a flashdrive stick has a virus that can suppress the Absolute Solver[127]. The Absolute Solver cannot control those with a patch over their eye[128].
Trivia
- The Absolute Solver and Cyn are alluded too in the pilot episode, when N is re-looking through his memories of when he died, there are notes of retrieving the absolute solver being blocked by the administrator "CYN"[129].
- When manifested by Worker Drones, the Absolute Solver seems to be hostile to mirrors and reflective surfaces by cracking them violently, continuing the theme of vampirism throughout the series.
- Due to being an intelligence that possesses hosts, as well as other machinery such as claws/tentacles, the Absolute Solver is never shown in a definitive form. Its consciousness, however, takes the form of a black hole.
- On the "Uzi, Host of the Solver" acrylic the Absolute Solver is referred to as an Eternal Entity ("A hapless drone, host to an eternal entity - will she succumb, or will she ascend?")[130]. This could imply that the Absolute Solver has existed long before Worker Drones were created and simply chose to use them as its means of embodiment.
- In the Murder Drones deskmat,[131] there is binary code in it ("01001001 0010000 01000001 01001101 1000101 01010100 01000101 01010010 01001110 01000001 01001100"). When translated, the words "IAMETERN!L," or otherwise, "I AM ETERNAL," pops up.
Codex Statistics Questions
Q: Shouldn't the cast of Murder Drones be around Planetary levels of power due to tanking said destruction?
A: This answer has two layers:
Q: Should the Murder Drones Alternate Universe scan be used? It's a non-canon merch video.
A: It is merch advertising the final episode of Murder Drones, and is explained as "the tale of Murder Drones", it would be very weird for them to just lie about this when this is a key point of the final episode, Uzi and N battling Cyn for the fate of the world (and universe by extension). They even make sure to leave V out of the poster to not spoil that she's alive in Episode 8.
Q: Isn't the evidence for 2-C too vague?
A: Absolute Solver is referred to as the singularity that's a threat to the entire universe and in-universe scientist note they will consume everything and the big crunch will happen in a set amount of days, the Absolute Solver's true form is a black hole, this doesn't seem vague, just adding context clues together.
