Big Jersey/Sunday
Jump to navigationJump to search

Sunday is the leader of a band in which she is one of the lead singers. They are the roommate and a lover of Carol. They usually practice their songs in the basement while looking for a new band member in the meantime.

They are both the main character of their own independent comic, Big Jersey and one a fan-made week in Friday Night Funkin'.

Background

This dropdown contains the synopsis of Sunday’s story. Read at your own risk as you may be spoiled otherwise!

Sunday's mom was killed by the Big Man, due to the death of their mother, Sunday swore to take down the Big Man and save Big Jersey.

They trained in martial arts and armed weaponry since they were 12 years old to kill the Big Man.

Carol doesn't want Sunday fighting against the Big Man as she doesn't think Sunday would stand a chance due to her brother getting killed by the Big Man. Carol is able to convince Sunday to not fight the Big Man.

Sunday complains to their Bob Marley poster about it, with Bob Marley noting Sunday's plan isn't thought out at all since it's just going up and shooting people. Instead they need to dismantle it from the lower layers, dealing with one of the Big Man's huge pop star Sandra Vanondra.

Sunday relays the plan to Carol and promises that if they cannot take her down they'll give up on the plan to take down the Big Man entirely.

They go to meet Sandra and challenge them to battle of the bands, at first Sandra refuses until Sunday instigates and blackmails her.

When Sunday tells their band they all freak out, thinking there's no way for them to beat Sandra. Sunday reaffirms they can beat her and if that does not happen, they have a trump card to use against them which is all of their wrongdoings.

During the battle Sunday's band is not winning the crowd over after Sandra's song, so Sunday attempts to release the files amongst the crowd, but the crowd doesn't care having Sandra enter her essence of the ego state.

Sunday was sleeping on their couch when Boyfriend walks in and accidentally sits on them. He apologizes and asks if he woke them up while they snidely say no and try to go back to sleep.

After a couple of seconds however, they recognize Boyfriend as the Ex-Rockstar's daughter's boyfriend, and asks him if he could take over for one of their co-vocalist since they broke their pelvis. Boyfriend says sure and asks what songs they got, initiating the week's songs.

The first song is basically gibberish and Sunday asks if Boyfriend can do gibberish with them responding with a confirming beep.

The second song is a song Sunday holds close to their heart and is a pride song with Boyfriend saying bi and Sunday asking how did he know.

The final song is the closer for the concert where Sunday notes the it's one of their personal favorites and says that they would say what it's about but they're not too sure people would understand the message before directing people to check the in-game folders to read the lyrics. They note the song is kinda edgy and political so they'll stick to voewls for the player's sake.

After that song finishes, Carol opens the door and tells Sunday to keep it down, finishing the week.

Appearance

General Description: Sunday appears as a light-brown-skinned human with closed eyes, mimicking a sleepy face. They have a beauty mark below their left eye and short black curly hair with a crescent-shaped ahoge.

Clothing/Outfit: A light gray shirt with a short-sleeved maroon flannel on top. Beige shorts. Black sneakers.

Items: At the start of Valentine, they are seen donning a teal blanket before throwing it away once they scream. Starting from BI-NB, they hold a red and white electric guitar closely resembling a Fender Stratocaster, used to play it on certain parts.

Old Design: Sunday's old design still had their signature blanket but featured a maroon shirt, olive-colored pants, and pink flip-flops. The microphone stand is missing, the ahoge is gone, and they appear noticeably shorter.

Alternate Forms/Disguises: Their old design is considered a previous iteration rather than an alternate form.

Personality

Goals

  • Abolish Capitalism (Ongoing).

Relationships

Carol

They are roomates. Initially in lore Sunday and Carol dated but were exes[4], but bbpanzu retconned it back into just them dating[5] even tagging Funkipedia to update the relationship section[6].

Carol worries for Sunday as they want to take down the Big Man which Carol is afraid of them doing due to the Big Man killing her brother.

During the week Carol usually just notes to Girlfriend the crazy antics she sees Sunday does, while also complaining about Sunday complaining about Hamilton glorifying slave owners.

Sandra Vanondra

Sandra Vanondra is under the Big Man who Sunday wants to take down. They confront her outside a convenience store and challenge them to a band battle.

At first Sandra tries to refuse it but then Sunday calls her a wuss instigating her to do it. They also threaten Sandra with blackmail if they try to refuse the challenge.

Bob Marley

Sunday has a Bob Marley poster they speak too and pray too, this is likely that Bob Marley is one of Sunday's favorite artist.

Boyfriend

Sunday first meets Boyfriend when he accidentally sits on them while they were sleeping on the couch.

Sunday notes for the first song that it's basically gibberish and asks if Boyfriend can do gibberish with them responding with a confirming beep[7].

For the next song it's a song they note they hold close to their heart and is a pride song with Boyfriend saying bi and Sunday asking how did he know.

Big Jersey
[[File:Sundayvalentinebigjersey.png 170px]] Sunday Valentine

Sunday Valentine is a knucklehead guitarist. Smart, but a bit naïve and a little bit of a jerk. They want to end THE BIG MAN'S clutches on the resources for BIG JERSEY by any means necessary. They recall times their late mother would tell them stories of Bob Marley (who's like the universe equivalent of Jesus). Their mother died trying to fight the BIG MAN, fueling Sunday's hatred for the BIG MAN and motivating them to the end of their journey.
