Bonnie's my name, I'm hoppin' along, floppy ears and a cotton tail! My guitar is blazin', this rabbit's "Hare"-raisin'! Just listen to me wail!

What is this new prison? Is it me trapped, or is it you? Perhaps it's us both.

Might as well face the facts, you were always destined to fail.

Background

Bonnie is a major antagonist in the Five Nights at Freddy's series. Bonnie is an animatronic rabbit and children's entertainer housed at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, alongside Freddy Fazbear and Chica. He is the guitarist in Freddy's band, positioned at the left side of the stage. Secretly, Bonnie and the other animatronics are haunted by children murdered by a man named William Afton. He and the others are now seeking revenge against their killer by attacking any adults in the pizzeria after-hours in blind rage.

He was the guitarist when the first Freddy Fazbear's Pizza was opened in 1983. In 1987, he and the original animatronics had all fallen into severe disrepair and Bonnie was replaced by his newer counterpart for the "improved" Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, Toy Bonnie. After the pizzeria's closing, as well as the Toy Animatronics being scrapped, he and the original animatronics were refurbished for the new pizzeria, as of the events of the first game. However, after the closure of the new pizzeria, he and the other animatronics got dismantled by their killer. His soul, along with the others, was presumably set free, as evidenced by the good ending.

Cardinality: Finite

Dimensionality: 3-D

Attack Potency: Wall level (Potency) (Should be comparable to the other animatronics, who can crush[4] skulls[5], survive[6] collapsing buildings[7], and are unharmed by a car crash that broke through a billboard[8]. Can one-shot the security guard[9]. They should scale to their novel counterparts due to being just as canon to the games, and are noted as alternate continuities[10]. The animatronics in the novels can tear off bathroom doors, destroy other animatronics their size, break open hinged doors, casually snap people's necks, break open a ceiling, break through a slide, and punch holes through people[11])

Comparable to Mangle, who can climb from the lower vent to the ceiling seemingly in a second[15])

Standard Tactics:

Due to being within an animatronic, each animatronic has a movement cycle they go by, Bonnie's starting location is the Show Stage, along with his bandmates Freddy and Chica. Upon activation, he will move to any room on the left side of the restaurant, excluding Pirate Cove. This means he can appear in the Dining Area, Backstage, the West Hall, the Supply Closet, and the West Hall Corner. When looking into the Office, he appears, leaning into the left doorway from the blind spot directly behind the left door.

Uh, by now I'm sure you've noticed the older models... ..sitting in the back room. Uh, those are from the previous location, and we just use them for parts now. The idea at first was to repair them. Uh, they even started retrofitting them with some of the newer technology. But they were just so ugly, you know. And the smell...ugh. Uh, so the company decided to just go in a whole new direction, and make them super kid friendly. Uh, those older ones shouldn't be able to walk around, but if they do, the whole Freddy head trick should work on them too, so... whatever.
Withered Bonnie starts with the other older animatronics in the Parts/Service room and travels to the Main Hall. He then heads to the hallway outside the Office, staring at the night guard from just outside. After that, he travels into Party Room 1 to climb into the Left Air Vent to enter the Office, completely bypassing the Left Air Vent's blind spot. When Withered Bonnie is in the Office and either the player lowers their Monitor or Withered Bonnie forces it down, Withered Bonnie will stand in front of the desk as the lights constantly flicker before he vanishes.

Bonnie resides in Pirate Cove (CAM 05) alongside Foxy. While Foxy must be checked when he's active, the player must avoid checking Bonnie when he's active, or he will disable the camera system temporarily.

Withered Bonnie will occasionally climb out of an unknown trapdoor to stand in the Office. Once he arrives, Withered Bonnie will create distorted audio noises and cause the lights to flicker. Similar to Toy Bonnie and Toy Chica, the Player has to put on the Freddy Mask to fend him off. Otherwise, he'll proceed to jumpscare the Player if the mask is put on too slowly.

Weaknesses: If it hits 6 AM, the animatronic no longer targets and resorts to its daytime functions[59]. Can be fooled by the Freddy mask[60]. The older models are disoriented by bright lights, causing a system restart[61]. Looking at the withered models on the camera causes them to not move[62].

  10. "The truth is that after a while lore can become so dense that there isn't room for a story anymore. Another truth is that what makes for a good game doesn't necessarily make for a good book. Sometimes a timeline gets so full that the only way to tell a real story is have the story set in a different timeline, an alternate universe, a different location, or perhaps from a vantage point that isn't entirely what it appears to be."
