Jump to navigationJump to search

Background

Gamma Jack was a superhero in The Incredibles. He was a super with tyrannical and megalomaniacal impulses and held the belief Supers to be a "superior race". He was later on killed by the Omnidroid 6.

Personality

  • Charismatic yet vain: Easily recognized by his wave-like hairstyle and former title of "Handsome Jack," he carried himself with confidence and charm, making him popular with women.
  • Megalomaniacal tendencies: He openly believed Supers to be a "superior race," displaying a superiority complex that shaped both his worldview and his actions.
  • Casual killer: He spoke openly about killing his opponents, treating it as a necessity rather than a last resort, with no moral hesitation.
  • Skewed priorities: He often prioritized pursuing attractive women over protecting innocents and had a particular difficulty fighting attractive female supervillains, feeling compelled to kill them.
  • Cause for concern: His impulses and lack of restraint caused the NSA to classify him under close "A Level" monitoring.
  • Picky habits: Beyond his dangerous tendencies, he also displayed trivial quirks such as being a notoriously selective eater.

Appearance

General Description: Gamma Jack is depicted as a young adult male superhero with a lean yet athletic build, reflecting his role as a costumed hero. His overall appearance is striking and designed to emphasize his confident persona.

Facial Features: He has a square jawline, fair skin, and short, neatly styled blonde hair. His expression is often intense, giving him a determined and somewhat charismatic presence.

Clothing/Outfit: Gamma Jack’s costume consists of a black suit accented with dark purple highlights. His chest bears his emblem, which radiates a subtle glow, emphasizing his energy-based abilities. He also wears matching gloves and boots, with his overall attire designed to be sleek and aerodynamic.

Special Features: His powers give off a faint glow around his hands and body when activated, signifying the radiation-like energy he can project. This visual effect often sets him apart from other Supers in combat.

Alternate Forms/Disguises: None are known, as Gamma Jack appears exclusively in his superhero attire during his documented appearances.

Weaknesses

Note

Misconceptions

Gamma Jack is a Villain

This is a popular misconception that spawns from the NSA File's mentions of his personality, which says that he is prone to tyrannical/megalomaniacal impulses and believes supers to be "a superior race"[33] and that the NSA Recommends close monitoring on him[34], however, Gamma Jack is never actually mentioned to be a villain in any of the medium, he's still considered a "superhero", though he is definitely not an altruistic or morally good one.

Gamma Jack is a pillar of power who stood shoulder to shoulder with Mr. Incredible and Gazerbeam

This is a quote used by many however this is never once said in any official media of The Incredibles or any of the guidebooks. If anything, going by stats in the NSA Files, there is not a single stat[35] he has over Mr. Incredible[36].

Gamma Jack and Homelander Similarities

There are many that try and say Gamma Jack is like the fake superhero Homelander from The Boys, however this is not remotely the case, Homelander is a truly evil being that has murdered children and assaulted whoever he pleased while abusing his power, Gamma Jack on the other hand has shown racist tendencies and megalomaniacal impulses, he has never truly delivered on them and has only killed villains[37]. While there could be some similarities to pick up between them, they are really not the same.
