The Incredibles
In the Golden Age of Superheroes, Frozone was one of Mr. Incredible’s closest friends and even served as best man at his wedding to Elastigirl. After Supers were outlawed due to lawsuits, Lucius Best adjusted to civilian life more easily than Bob, marrying his wife Honey and settling into a normal lifestyle. Despite this, he occasionally joined Bob on secret nightly hero missions under the guise of "bowling," though he was hesitant at first and later stopped after a near run-in with police and Helen’s discovery.
Frozone was originally marked as a target in Syndrome’s Operation Kronos, with Mirage nearly confirming him as the intended victim before Syndrome shifted his focus to Mr. Incredible. When Bob discovered the list of Supers who had already been killed, he was horrified to see Frozone’s status marked as “known,” realizing Syndrome had located him.
Later, Frozone reemerged during Syndrome’s attack on Metroville. As the Omnidroid v.10 rampaged through the city, Lucius attempted to suit up but found that Honey had hidden his supersuit to stop him from abandoning their dinner plans. Despite the delay, Frozone recovered his gear and ultimately joined the Parr family in fighting and defeating the Omnidroid, reaffirming his role as a key ally and hero.
The Incredible 2
In the sequel, Frozone first joins the Parr family in battling the Underminer. After the fight, he is approached by Winston Deavor, CEO of DevTech, who offers him a chance to help make Supers legal again. Winston asks him to bring Bob and Helen to DevTech, where they meet Winston and his sister Evelyn. The Deavors explain their campaign to restore the legality of superheroes and choose Elastigirl to be the face of the movement due to her precision and lower collateral damage.
When Bob begins struggling with Jack-Jack’s newly emerging powers, Violet calls Lucius for help. Arriving at the Parrs’ temporary home, Frozone finds Bob exhausted and overwhelmed. At first, Jack-Jack seems like a normal baby, but then demonstrates a variety of powers—including interdimensional travel, which Bob controls with cookies. Lucius is stunned, remarking that Jack-Jack’s abilities are unlike those of his siblings, and is further taken aback when the baby transforms into a fiery monster when denied a cookie. After helping soothe Jack-Jack with frozen ice balls, Lucius advises Bob to rethink how he’s managing his children and admits he now understands why Bob is so sleep-deprived.
Later, Bob calls Lucius to babysit while he goes to support Helen. Ignoring Honey’s protests this time, Frozone dons his supersuit and arrives just as Evelyn’s mind-controlled Supers attack the Parr children. He fights them off but is ultimately captured by Brick and put under Evelyn’s control. Alongside Bob and Helen, he is forced to attend the international summit where the hypnotized heroes attempt to sabotage the event and take hostages.
Eventually, Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack free their parents and Lucius from control. As the DevTech cruise ship hurtles toward the city, Frozone creates massive sheets of ice to slow it down while Bob fixes the rudder and Helen captures Evelyn. Thanks to their combined efforts, the disaster is averted. Frozone later joins the Parrs in celebrating not only their victory but also the reinstatement of superheroes as a legal and accepted part of society.
