Background

Rika Honjo is the older brother of Yuri Honjo. He later becomes the apostle of Mamoru Aikawa.

Rika's first appearance was when he was phoned by his sister asking for his help about the world they are trapped in. Rika tells her she's more cool headed and courageous than she really thinks. He then goes on and explains what he knows about the world they're in and mentioning that he will come and locate her from the"really tall tower". However, he soon lost contact with Yuri when her phone was cracked.

In some of Yuri's recollection of the past, Rika was often shown as a brave and knowledgeable brother. Rika taught Yuri about many things, from gun types to being a strong and valiant person.

Notable Techniques

• Apostle: After being turned into Aikawa's Apostle, Rika displays superhuman strength and speed superior to regular Angels. The Guardian Angel sent to eliminate Aikawa considered him to have equivalent power to the Guardian Angels. As an Apostle, Rika is forced to obey and protect Aikawa. An Apostle's processing power is significantly superior to that of the stronger Angels. When giving his all, even anti-materiel rifle bullets or Angels like the Great Angel or the Guardian Angels move in slow motion from his perspective.
  • Stun Chop: By using his processing power to detect a target's blood flow and action potential, Rika can accurately knock them unconscious with the "chop to the neck" move that's only possible in fiction.

Standard Tactics: As a human Rika used sledgehammers for close quarters combat and handguns for long ranged combat while thinking up strategies during the battle. As an apostle, Rika can greatly amplify his strength from his emotions, and can focus to slow down a target and hit their pressure points through detecting their blood flow.
