Background

This dropdown contains the synopsis of Saiga Riki-Oh’s story. Read at your own risk as you may be spoiled otherwise!

Early History
Riki-Oh's mom was a woman that purposefully killed 13 infants with her medicine, before being sentenced to the death penalty she gave birth to Riki-Oh who was then brought to an adopted family. He soon learned the truth of his origins and was getting ready to take his own life before an old man named Zenki appeared and stopped him from doing so.

He later meets up with a girl named Mizukami Keiko and befriends her, seeing her as a little sister. Though she is hit by a car and is given drugs in the hospital due to Kuwabara of the South Gang forcing the doctors to inject the patients with these drugs.

Riki-Oh goes to find Kuwabara and not only get revenge on him but also find out who else is responsible for the drug shipments.

Prison Arc
Riki-Oh initially is imprisoned in a maximum prison for committing assault. Prisoners attempt to attack him but he easily defeats and diposes of them.

One of the four emperors (Narumi, Yomi, Shiragami, & Kitamakura), Narumi, is tasked with killing Riki-Oh due to his defiance, though he easily kills Narumi, even through threatening a prisoner that was a friend of his.

Later he befriends a prisoner named Asa whose tongue was cut off by one of the four emperors, Yomi. Yomi forces Asa to try and kill Riki-Oh but when he refuses he cuts off Asa's skin, killing him.

Riki-Oh goes on to burn the illegal poppy fields, destroying shipments of the drugs and fights against Yomi and Shiragami, though midway through the fight Kitamakura betrays the other two emperors and stabs Shiragami. The second in command Sugiyama orders the place be covered in cement to hide evidence of the field.

Riki-Oh is covered in the cement and is lifted up but once they bring the Warden to see him he breaks out of the cement and tries to capture him. Though Kitamakura shows up to fight against Riki-Oh, claiming he only betrayed the four emperors so that he could remain the strongest. Riki-oh quickly defeats him, though the Warden tries to crush him with a falling ceiling and electrocutes him while he tries to hold it. Before the ceiling can crush him Kitamakura catches the ceiling and is killed as he has no more strength to hold it.

In reality, Riki-oh came to this prison to find out information about a man with a swastika tatoo'd on his arm, he deals with the corruption within the prison and learns from the Warden that the man has left a long time ago and he must find the cape in order to find him, telling him that master Zenki would know.

He escapes the prison and finds master Zenki who informs him of where he needs to go to find the Cape.

Cape Arc
Riki-Oh finds an old lady that warns him of the dangers of entering the cape, though he ignores them and persists.

Riki-Oh finds his way onto the cape where he has a run in with the Black Knights and meets the 7th disciple of Zenki, Fukao Shinkichi. After defeating the Black Knights Fukao takes him to his home. He finds his mother is the same shaman lady that warned him to not enter the cape, his mother warns him of a bad omen if he goes to Bazaar in search of the man he's looking for.

Entering the bazaar, he finds the person he thinks he's looking for (Nachi) but they quickly escape and a big man named Umibozu shows up, to kill two escapees from the home. Right before a kid is going to be impaled Riki-Oh quickly saves him and then tries to go after Nachi. He finds Nachi walking through a giant door with the kid he saved telling him that only those chosen by the center can enter before giving him a flask of alcohol as thanks for saving him.

Riki-Oh is then baited by Umibozu when he starts harming the kid at the bazaar to lure him out. They fight but Riki-Oh easily wins before Washizaki appears and easily defeats Riki-Oh, bringing him to Lageri.

Lageri Arc
It is revealed that Riki-Oh purposefully let himself be brought to Lageri as it was the best way to find his brother Nachi.

He enters a tournament as he hears Nachi comes to the tournament at 1 AM, though this is what Washizaki anticipated, watching the tournament and purposefully manipulating matches in order to control Riki-Oh as his. All the while Riki-Oh attempts to call out to his brother but Nachi does not respond until he sees Riki-Oh almost die in his match against Robotomi 560SEL-Mk. II.

Washizaki then puts an electric receiver in Riki-Oh to try and force him to comply to his rules, however, when Washizaki pits three of Riki-Oh's loved ones against lions, he rips the receiver out of his body and saves them, before he can go deliver the finishing blow to Washizaki, his daughter, Mai, begs him to not kill her father. Riki-Oh complies and leaves, with Washizaki claiming he will have Riki-Oh's head.

Returning to the Cape
As Riki-Oh walks through a bridge he is stopped by Washizaki's second in command, Otto Steiner. Otto Steiner claims how Mai has fallen in love witH Riki-Oh and admits himself he has fallen in love with his boss' daughter, claiming that he will fight and kill Riki-Oh as vegeance.

Riki-Oh struggles due to Otto's ability to instantly transmit commands to his nervous making his attacks invisible, but overcomes and defeats him. Otto admits that his hatred for humanity came from their birth of nuclear weapons that made him lose the ability to move his body without electrical implants and that his love came back after seeing Mai. Riki-Oh buries him out of respect for the human that once was.

Riki-Oh proceeds to reach a shore where he finds a USSR nuclear submarine, Fukao notes that they are colleting atomic dust in order to take to the cape's processing plant where it is recycle as fuel.

Fukao also reveals in reality that the USSR and America's antagonism is a front and both countries are being controlled from the shadows by a massive conglomeration known as the "Twelve Families", being the ones manipulating the human race towards extinction. Fukao himself is a member of a group made to prevent God's plan and save humanity from destruction, "Longinus".

Afterwards Washizaki is asked from a higher up to see Nachi, Washizaki realizes they're going to kill him and take Narchi, causing him to lose it. He goes and tries to burn Nachi and all of the people he was healing with Riki-Oh appearing to defeat Washizaki once and for all.

After their fight, he goes to try and save Nachi but realizes Nachi himself has become different, revealing that he only helped people in order to see them struggle longer, and his plan now is to cause a catastrophe around the world.

Riki-Oh fights to stop Nachi though in there fight Nachi tricks Riki-Oh, causing both of their symbols to combine and cause havoc around a town killing thousands. Riki-Oh ends up finishing off Nachi before Nachi gives him a warning that the above world is now in chaos.

Destroyed Tokyo
Riki-Oh returns back above ground with a newfound purpose, finding out about his true father and destroying Mizuguchi, a yakuza who bankrupted his family and tried to kill him years ago.

He travels to his mother's grave to find a sword there that holds tremendous powers.

Mizuguchi's Mansion
Arriving at his mansion he kills a man named Iwato, whose daughter was kept in the mansion as a threat to keep Iwato to do Mizuguchi's dirty work. Mizuguchi uses Iwato's death as a way to make the daughter shoot Riki-Oh, allowing him to capture him.

Afterwards, Mizuguchi asks his chef, Momiji, to kill Riki-Oh before his boss finds out he never actually killed Riki-Oh, as he gets called by his boss.

Riki-Oh fights against Momiji and just barely wins thanks to help from his friend Eisaku, who dies in the same battle, giving his blood to have Riki-Oh tend to his wounds.

Riki-Oh finds Mizuguchi who at first tries to have Busujima Chiharu take him out but after Riki-Oh defeats him Mizuguchi is forced to give any information he knows on Riki-Oh's father. He can only give out the name "Chris" before a man named Mao kills him and then attempts to kill Riki-Oh. Mao is killed by Riki-Oh and Riki-Oh sets off to find more information on the name "Chris".

Riki-Oh's Father
Riki-Oh returns back to his family house to try and see if he can get his father's memories back, however they are still dormant. Apparently hearing the name "Chris" only frightens him to madness.

Riki-Oh is attacked by several people, the most notable being Barakido who uses a special kite to try and stab into Riki-Oh, but before he can do so, Riki-Oh's father gains his memories back and saves him. After Riki-Oh defeats Barakido he goes to tend to his father's wounds, but they are attacked by the wolf gang along with the Wolf leader.

After Riki-Oh defeats them, his father before dying tells him everything he knows: About how he used to live with his real mother, how she was jewish and was sougth afte rby the nazis, and how a man named Aneyama has the answers he needs. After telling him the story he finally subcumbs to his wounds and passes away.

Riki-Oh vs. Aneyama Riki-Oh heads for Aneyama's Eternal Palace, there he learns that Aneyama kept the same face due to many different genetic modifications and that his powers come from the six-point star otherwise known as the Star of David that carries the Gnosis.

He is initially defeated by Aneyama when they take advantage of this to seal off his six point star, but he is helped by one to remove the seal and goes back for vengeance against Aneyama.

There he learns that Aneyama has taken his brother (Nachi)'s head and is trying to use it along with Riki-Oh's body to make the child of destruction and cause destrucion to the world. Initially they succeed as Riki-Oh and Nachi coming together allowed them to use a universal energy source that destroyed the atmosphere, having radiation, weather, and earthquakes happen across the planet, but Nachi uses the last bit of his powers to reverse the effects done, telling Riki-Oh to not use hatred against these enemies as that's how they manipulate them.

After Nachi dissapears, Riki-Oh respects his wishes, not killing Aneyama, but Aneyama seeing their face withered and old loses it, jumping off a cliff and killing themself.

Riki-Oh returns to his mother's grave where he meets his teacher again and tells his teacher that he must break through to the enemy's true core and destory their evil schemes once and for all. His teacher tells him that the true enemy is Mukai.

Riki-Oh vs. Mukai
Riki-Oh travels to Antartica to confront Mukai, getting help along the way he finally makes it to the realm.

There he is revealed to a lot of information. For one, Mukai is in truth his father, and is an eternal and immortal being that comes from the year 2500 that traveled back in time to destroy the world so that humanity could become one with the idea of "God". In truth, this was just his lashing out at the fact that he has never met anyone to love him, not even his wife Hana.

Riki-Oh sees him for what he truly is, a sad and pathetic man and cannot bring himself to hate him. Mukai realizes all of the wrong he's done from hearing his son's voice and realizes that he must die for good, begging his son to stab him with his mother's sword, to end his immortality for good.

Riki-Oh does it and Mukai's palace collapses.

Aftermath
Riki-Oh's whereabouts are never truly being stated afterwards, though he is seen with what is presumably his son showing him how to play the flute through a leaf.

  • Appearance: It bears the features of a typical dagger.
  • Usage: It operates as a typical dagger would, though if an enemy tries to use it on Riki-Oh it will not do any vital damage to him. Though it has the unique ability of being able to kill immortals.

Notable Techniques

Naike Kenpou

Riki-Oh is trained in the martial art of Naike Kenpou, taught to him by his old master Chou Zenki.

It's an alternate style of kenpou that differs from Shaolin Kenpou. It is centered around destroying bodies from the outside with the usage of "Kikou" or "Breathing".

With this trained martial arts style, Riki-Oh possesses superhuman strength sufficient to tear the human body apart with little effort.

The source of this power is the hexagram-shaped scar on his hand. His punches can rip holes in people's bodies and injure them with the air pressure created by the strikes alone.

Koukikou (Hard Breathing Exercise)

A breathing technique that absorbs surrounding ki into the body, condenses it, and uses the resulting imbalance to produce various techniques.

Sunkei (Inch Drive)

A secret technique of Chinese Kenpou that attacks the opponent at close range through a distance of only a few centimeters.

Kantsuu Rekken (Piercing Violent Fist)

A technique that controls and condenses ki to send a wave through one body, destroying a target behind it.

Seikaken Renkan Tanda (Repeated Strikes of the Glorious Fist)

A rapid punching technique.

Hien Senshiken (Flying Swallow Piercing Fist)

A powerful straight punch that sends its target flying.

Honshin Hekiken (Turning Splitter Fist)

A powerful knife hand strike.

Koken (Tiger Fist)

An open palm strike.

Chouyaku Rigoutai Senpuukyaku (Whirlwind Kick)

A spinning roundhouse kick that sends the target flying.

Kantsuu Reppa (Piercing Split Destroyer)

The secret technique of Naike Kenpou. A destructive wave of ki expelled from the palms destroys anything in its path. Also known as Soushousen (Double Palm Meditation).

Fukanyuusei (Impenetrability)

By condensing their ki, the user can reduce incoming damage to its minimum amount.
