[#1175]

Scenario: Pixel refusing to listen to a word Pastel was saying to him, finding a large door much more interesting and ready to be opened. This door brings the two a land they've never seen before. Pixel, seeing a monster that was minding his own business, decides to attack it, presuming it to be another Graffiti creature. Parin had happened to be walking by as this happened, immediately says for him to stop. Pixel looks over, confused...before assuming she must be one of the servants of Medium..or at the very least, too annoyed to care about the distinction, causing a battle to commence.

A huge issue here will be the immense damage reduction Parin gets from outfits along with resistances on top of the guard dash and elemental parts.

The most important thing would be: What would he do against the 65-75% damage reduction?

Alright, time to finally respond here! From what I can gather, correct me if i'm wrong but while shes wearing that helmet, it means she can't wear any of her other clothes? Pixel has farther range thanks to his Rapid and Chase Charge type attacks (DO NOT GET IT CONFUSED, THEY COME OUT LIKE REGULAR PROJECTILES, IDK WHY THEY CALLED IT THAT, IT DOESN'T NEED A CHARGE...THERES ONLY ONE CHARGE TYPE MOVE LIST IN THERE). Interestingly enough, because of that helmet...unless she takes it off and replaces it with something else in her, she's going to get effected by some annoying status effect moves like Poison, and more interestingly paralysis which is going to slow her down and let Pixel get some nasty combos in. Theres also flatten which is just another allow down move but it looks more aesthetically painful. She could maybe negate frozen...but the only thing listed is that she negates ice cold water...idk if that correlates to her resisting being literally frozen in an ice block...up in the air.

Chase is gonna be annoying for Parin because it's going to be following her so if he shoots out like 2 or 3, Guard dash could be caught in it. Same with something like beam where aslong as he keeps aiming as her, it's going to hit post-dash.

Defense is going to help him defend against moves and let him get in close, with moves that could also paralyze, flatten or poison her

She can freely swap between any wearables with all of them having bare minimum 50% damage reduction at max level. On top of that, the helmet wouldn't have her get affected by poison as she has an immunity to gas damage with it at lv 4, which is poison.

I think trap damage counts under the electrical barriers which would giver her an immunity to electricity but as I haven't put that on the profile and would have to test it I will leave that as nonexistent.

It gives her effectively a cold immunity so I would say ice properties debabtly wouldn't work unless they're potent.

Chase and Beam would be annoying though the 65-75% damage reduction can help mitigate it, along with this the elemental and poison variants she would have a technical immunity too thanks to trap damage immunity (minus thunder as of now as I still need to check that electrical gate thing).

Defense may be bypassed by her charge attack since it's far above her regular AP.

The things atm she cannot resist that he has is the flatten ability and the paralyze ones but damage reduction + guard dash could help mitigate those along with canon pausing allowing her to stop the match in order to get a healing item.

As an addendum, I'm not too sure she would use this but as a potential last resort, the magic urn absorbs monsters and suck up their unique energy which the same could apply to the graffiti creatures.

Maybe Charge could work? Defend can defend against Graffiti creatures with Unleash which are similarly big attack moves, so it's pretty potent. Another thing is knockback moves that's going to forcefully push away Parin, especially she's trying to charge something up like Charge, putting Pixel back in range to shoot moves. Plus he has backstep if he really needs to..back away from an attack (This won't be counted because i forgot to add it but backstep shoots out a tornado aswell as he jumps away but that's not listed because of my forgetfulness so presume the page will be updated soon with that and a couple of other whoopsies. most Whoopsies won't like...dictate the fight so don't worry). He also has flight to get out of danger aswell and shoot tiny tornados from his wings aswell.

Combo moves are a mess because it's a bag of who knows what. it could be punch-punch-punch-punch or it could be fucking punch-backstep-Ariel lance-shield for all we know, all coming out in a combo for quick status effects of which could be flatten or paralysis. For something more up close against Guard Dash or...just in general, he does have his breath moves to get her out of the way aswell and it's just constant damage if shes in any of those.

The urn thing, i have no clue because Pixel himself is a human child turning into these beings he makes and/or takes from so i have no idea how that would work lol.

(This is a really cool match-up looking at it and it really feels like these 2 come from a similar world)

Basically Pixel needs to just keep wailing on her while relying on backstep and defense to not get hit, or use knockback moves to play keep away

From what I see, charge attacks are mostly just the same as the other categories so I don't see it as a direct answer to the damage reduction.

Also Parin's lock on allows her to do a lock in attack which is effectively a homing attack to close distances and she can spam it so I don't know if backstep will help him forever.

On top of that some of her elemental attacks have properties of surrounding her with some attacks, causing electricity to come out even if he side-steps it, ice element that freezes an entire river instantly, and fire element that can melt an entire river instantly. I don't fully know if breath moves will work since they'd function under gas which she has gas immunity.

The urn seals a special energy source so while Pixel wouldn't be sealed his graffiti powers probably would, regardless, Parin doesn't really use this in battle as far as I can tell.

Main way to get pass damage reduction is just Pixel using mega moves which are just big damage attacks to try and do as much damage as he can despite the mitigation, and with projectiles like Mega Beam or Mega Rapid attack that are just gonna coming at her, it could possibly overwhelm her...especially if she gets flattened or paralyzed by something. Flght, Defense, Back Step...maybe even something like Dash could be used as get away options. He does have a lot of close-up moves that he can combo all at once but with Guard dash, getting a full hit combo without becoming combo food himself is going to be a big issue.

The only thing i've neglected to talk about is Pastel who....is just kind of a 2nd voice Pixel barely listens too and the Graffiti's wand mimicry where i have no idea if it works on humans like her or if it could steal her techniques for himself. They both have moves that need to be sightly charged and I presume Parin ways to get in as much as Pixel has ways to get away if he starts charging something big.

This is an Endurance test between them both....sadly Pixel does not have the ability to heal or mitigate damage he takes. Also she's slightly stronger.

60/40 for Parin is probably the answer overall.

One thing to answer on this

"The only thing i've neglected to talk about is Pastel who....is just kind of a 2nd voice Pixel barely listens too and the Graffiti's wand mimicry where i have no idea if it works on humans like her or if it could steal her techniques for himself. It likely would work unless the series made it solely only grafitii it can work on but I'm assuming there's no other mystical creatures in the series he can't use that mimicry on.

Though Parin has already fought someone who can perfect mimic her along with make multiple clones that can perfect mimic her attacking her at once and still easily beat Cream.

I really like the concept of him copying her, trying to use her moves, seeing it's not working and then calling her moves lame anyway and going back to his own moves.
