When Samantha Larusso and her friends car crashed into Johnny's car by not paying attention, Johnny started to have an outrage and started to demand them to open the door and started banging the door, scaring them away. When they got away, he slammed his wheel hard enough to cause the air bag to go on. When Kyler and his friends started to bully Miguel and poured the pepto bismol he got on his head, Johnny did not interfere to help him until he was thrown onto his car but still decided to help Miguel and beat up Kyler and his friends who attacked him so he would stop hurting him. Johnny also does not care for some laws and drives while drinking. Johnny disliked Daniel so much that when his car got towed to Larruso Auto which had the best prices, he wanted it towed elsewhere. Despite denying Miguel to teach him karate, he now changed his mind and offered to be his Sensei so he can conquer his fears and no longer be bullied and reopened Cobra Kai. [Season 1 episode 1].

After John Kreese took over once again, he brought his style to the newly founded Eagle-Fang Karate. Was able to fight equally on par with Daniel Larusso and even countered his pressure point technique. Was able to overpower 5 Sensei's at once who trained under Kim Sung-Yung their entire lives. Should be comparable to Daniel who was able to completely out skill and overpower Terry Silver)

Weaknesses: Is mentally hurt and unfocused due to mental abuse from his Stepfather Sid and having relationship problems with Ali. This is directly shown to greatly affect his fighting and he was even more unfocused when Kreese negatively influenced him to fight dirty when he didn't want to. The comics meant to give Johnny's side of the events of The Karate Kid further establish this and it is stated that his confidence at the time was shattered. | Usually likes to jump into battles without a plan. Due to being stuck in the 80s mentally, Johnny is setback from normal things in modern times. Undermined Miguel's medical condition of Asthma with the excuse of weakness does not exist in this dojo, likely not knowing much about it. Johnny did not own modern technology until much later in his life and in turn lacks basic knowledge of how they work. He thought his first computer was broken since he didn't know how to turn it on with the power button. He struggled to go to the internet and was unaware of what Wi-Fi was and had to get Internet for Dummies to figure it out. He also did not know how to turn off his phone's notification noises. He thought his computer broke when the battery died and didn't know how chargers work. Was unaware that he had to deal with regulations of running a dojo. Continuously thinks hashtags are called hash browns.
