Background
Soul caliber is the primary force of good, and the eponymous sword, of the Soulcaliber series. Long ago, in Ancient Times, the Hero King Algol lost his son to the cursed sword Soul Edge. As a result of this loss, he forged the Soul caliber out of a purified shard of the Soul Edge. This holy sword, Soul caliber, would serve the primary purpose of destroying Soul Edge.
