Background

Kokomi Teruhashi is one of the main characters of the series. She is a student in Saiki Kusuo's class and she is considered very attractive by both women and men, who often stop and stare upon seeing her. She was played by Hashimoto Kanna in the live action film of the series.

Kokomi was born on August 6th. She was highly cute, enough to make her own doctor blush just by looking at her. Word got out about her, and a huge crowd of people went to go look at her through the nursery window. She meets her older brother, Teruhashi Makoto, and he too gets too infatuated with her. Time goes on, she grows up, enrolls into PK Academy and ends up in the same class as Saiki Kusuo. Kusuo introduces her to the reader during his monologue about him not understanding the concept of love. He says she is the most popular girl but has no interest in her, due to her thoughts of the other classmates being poor brats and unable to see her beauty. On August 6th, her birthday, she is walking around aimlessly. Several men approach her and she nicely rejects their flirting advances, a normal for her. She notices Kusuo across the street, recognizing him from her class. She admits that she nearly forgot about him due to him being very quiet in school. She goes on to incorrectly remembering his first name, believing it is Kunio. Feeling sorry, believing he is having a dull summer vacation, she decides to go and talk to him. She greets him, he only politely bows and leaves. Dumbfounded by Kusuo's brief and unfazed reaction, she starts on trying to get his attention, believing he is thinking about her being an illusion. However, no matter what she tried, Kusuo continued to ignore her. When Kusuo suddenly disappeared in front of her, she thought that Kusuo might be an illusion. Remembering her own words from before, she concluded that she was the one hallucinating about Kusuo and believed that she had fallen in love with him. Since that day, Kokomi always finds it irritating that Kusuo blatantly ignores her and has sworn to herself that she will end up making him say "offu" to her.

She is highly competitive in several aspects, such as beauty, sports and academics. An example being when she ordered two ramen for her and Rifuta Imu and, despite the two being hailed as beauty queens, Kokomi was considered above her since she was given a extra-large bowl while Imu was given a normal bowl of ramen. Though despite this, she is very careful to not harm others' feelings and livelihoods), becomes Chaotic Good (Over the series, she slowly changes. She doesn't only wish to date rcih men anymore, such as when she turned down an offer from Saiko Metori of marrying into wealth. She's made genuine friends with Saiki Kusuo's friend group and accepts Kusuo for his looks and personality)

Genius Intelligence, Social Influencing (Teruahashi is the most beautiful character in the series, to the point that whenever guys see her, he instinctively says "offu", with even girls falling in love with Teruahshi. Convinced a group of guys that she did not once use the bathroom while on an island and made them believe she never does. Has skills such as "Angel's Breath" and "Angel's Upward Beam" where she can convince an entire group of people to help her out. With "Angel's Tears" she can either fake cry or cry for real, making a large crowd of people appear and attack the aggressor that made her cry. Her charisma is noted to be superior to even Hairo's, one of the most popular guys in the school. Teruhashi just getting a cold depressed the entire school to the point that some people even attempted suicide after worrying that the cold could be much worse. Gave an average student a massive performance boost to where he could run with just one leg. People will instinctively do anything to protect her from any danger even if they lose their life for it. Just from walking out in a swimsuit, Teruhashi attracts an enormous crowd around her. Starts an entire handshake event just from sitting down in a cafe. Her appearance causes people to drastically lower prices for her), Aura (Teruhashi has an aura so bright and is an aura so big it has angel wings around her), Enhanced Senses (Noticed people tailing her, to the point that she was able totell from the distance of their step and rhytyms of their breath that it was a man and woman and could roughly estimate their age, and even noticed Saiki), Regeneration (Mid-Low; Saiki has made it where light injuries will heal fast, allowing people to heal fast from being hit by a steel pipe in the head 20 times, stabbed by a knife in the back, getting hit in the face by a baseball to the point that blood flows out, etcetera), Supernatural Luck, Blessed, Divine Protection, & Possible Fate Protection (Has mud from the street hit her and have none of it get on her face and form a fashsionable pattern on her dress. Teruhashi is a woman favoured by god, having divine luck, with even Saiki admitting she's loved too much by god. Noted by Saiki that he can't go against god's script, noted that even the sky is one her side to capture her beauty. Noted by Saiki that it's impossible to reject any of Teruhasi's offer, and it being a rule of this world, obviously referring to the fact that god is on her side and is noted to have god on her side. Saiki notes that Teruhashi has god's blessing and she consistently gets excellent luck. Teruhashi herself directly states the meteor hitting the Earth won't kill her because god loves her and asks for god to help stop the metorite, which during this Saiki gets his powers back)

• Absolute Beauty: Kokomi has an uncomparable and unmatched beauty. Most men consider her a "goddess", with the exception of Kusuo and Kusuke, who are aware of Kokomi's true nature. Her beauty is so great that even girls, adults and old people has found her gorgeous. Kokomi often uses this as a way to get what she wants, almost always gaining anyone's attention making sure they do whatever she asks them to do.
• Angel's Breath: With a single sigh she can cause a huge group of people to come swarming to her like bugs.
• Angel's Upward Beam: With Angel's Upward Beam she asks the person for help, causing them to do everthing possible to help her out.
• Angel's Tears: With Angel's Tears, she can either fake cry or cry for real, summoning a large crowd of people to attack the person that made her cry.

  • The "心" kanji in her name means "heart, mind, soul" while the "美" kanji means "beauty/beautiful", making her name also mean, beautiful heart.
• Kokomi's surname Teruhashi is a loose pun from the word Telepathy (テレパシー, Terepashii)
• Kokomi's beauty and charm does not work on people who love someone else, see everyone equally, or who can see through her true nature.
  • Only Hairo Kineshi, Kusuo, Kusuke, and children (like Yuuta) are immune to her beauty.
• Kokomi fell in love with Kusuo on her birthday.
