Ai Ohto is the main protagonist of the anime Wonder Egg Priority. Ai used to be an lonely girl without any friends. She was bullied often for having heterochromia by her other peers in school. Soon, a girl named Koito Nagase transferred to Ai's class. Koito immediately became interested in Ai, even going out of her way to follow Ai home. The two quickly bonded and Koito became Ai's first and only friend.

Koito and Ai believed that Koito was getting bullied out of jealousy. Ai tried her best to help out and show proof of the bullying by recording it while it happened, but she was too frightened to move when it happened and failed. Koito eventually killed herself, likely as a result of this bullying. Koito's suicide is what lead Ai to become a shut-in, avoiding school and refusing to speak to her teacher when he visits her home. It is for Koito's sake that Ai begins using the Wonder Eggs.

This was shown when Ai was supposed to bring out her summon, Leon, in order to fight the Haters due to them being dangerous. When told to bring him out, Ai refused several times due to her friends losing their pets in combat, which forced Acca to pull Leon out of Ai's pendent. Ai has stated that she has no issues with risking her life in order to save her friends in the line of combat)

Anything that Ai sees as death will eventually wear off of her and she'll be able to regenerate from it. This was shown when Rika Kawai was hit with a beam that turned her into stone, thus killing her. She later came back and stated that since they are immortal in the Egg Worlds then all of her ailments will wear off.
• Parallel Existence (All characters are able to replace themselves in order to live on in a different timeline. This can be best seen when Kotobuki Awano died and another one appeared shortly afterwards, stating that she came to replace the previous one. In the show, it has been shown that Ai was depressed to the point that she attempted suicide. This can be best seen when she tried to drown herself in a pool and her friend, Koito, came to save her. This, in turn, created another universe in which Koito didn't come to save her and she later died in the swimming pool)

Ai is able to also see damage in the Egg World as fiction, thus, anything they perceive as damage will be negated.
• Subjective Reality and Reality Warping (While in the Egg Worlds, Ai is able to believe in an action and it will warp into something that she needs when she is in danger. When Ai is fighting an enemy that she normally can't beat, she is able to touch a any object that is tied to the enemy or the girls from the Wonder Eggs. Ai has displayed this ability when she was fighting the Wonder Killer of Miko and Mako. Originally, Ai was defeated in the fight and once she touched Miko and Mako's penlights, they were able to turn them into weapons that completely negated the Wonder Killers abilities. This was also shown when she fought another Wonder Killer and turned a streamer into a whip that could melt through solid matter. Ai is also able to use this ability on her enemy's abilities as well. When she was facing against the Wonder Killer of her alternate timeline version, she was able to take over his abilities in order to amplify her abilities and defeat him in one hit after leaving him completely powerless)

Wonder Eggs

Wonder Eggs are eggs containing people that are sold in a gachapon in the underground garden where Acca and Ura-Acca are. When broken, a person comes out of the egg, in which the individual who broke the egg must protect them from a Wonder Killer. Successfully protecting the person inside the egg causes the statue of the person they are trying to save to get warmer; a step closer in saving them. All of the four main girls have been using the Wonder Eggs in order to bring back each of the person they are trying to save. Ai uses the Wonder Eggs to bring back Koito, Neiru uses the Wonder Eggs to bring back her sister, Rika uses the Wonder Eggs to bring back Chiemi, and Momoe uses the Wonder Eggs to bring back Haruka. The eggs sold all have codes on them, which is revealed to be the Gold-Bug Cipher. The cipher comes from the Gold-Bug (黄金虫, Koganemushi?), the bug that Ai buries on the night she obtains her first Wonder Egg, and speaks to numerous times afterwards. The seemingly random characters on the egg, when decrypted, are the first names of the person inside the Wonder Egg.

Simply substituting the cipher with the corresponding letter will give the first name of the person inside the Wonder Egg. Several examples are provided below in decrypting the code:

Standard Tactics: Ai will try her best to talk out the situation with reasonable people. If her opponent seems too hostile or bad morally, she will attack by hitting you with her primary weapon. If she is losing a fight or her weapon isn't doing the job, she will try and take something from her opponents to manifest it into a weapon.

Weaknesses: Ai is a too trusting who forgives others very easily. This can lead her to be easily blindsided or betrayed. Ai takes some of the damage that she sustained from the Egg Worlds back to the real world. While this is lessened quite a bit, she is still shown to retain the damage sometimes.
