Animatronic Hamburger

As the place is called "Candy's Burger and Fries" the main object for Candy is an Animatronic Hamburger. It does not seem to be possessed unlike Candy.

Notable Techniques

Jumpscare

Candy effectively sneak attacks Mary Schmidt or Marylin Schmidt depending on the game.

They quick attack which likely in-universe catches Mary or Marylin off guard before grabbing and killing them.

Other

Standard Tactics
At the start of the night, Candy stands beside Cindy on the Main Stage, visible through Cam 01. From there, he moves to the area in front of the cardboard Cindy display in Main Hall 1, which is Cam 02. After that, he enters one of two possible rooms: either Main Hall 3, seen on Cam 05, or the space in front of Chester's stage curtains in the Secondary Party Room, which is Cam 09. If he chooses the latter, he then proceeds to stand in front of a Candy the Cat-themed arcade machine in the Arcade Area, Cam 08. From the Arcade Area, he either enters Backstage 2, Cam 07, eventually appearing outside the left doorway at Backstage 1, Cam 06, or he moves directly from the Arcade Area to Main Hall 3. Regardless of whether he arrived from Main Hall 1 or the Arcade Area, once Candy reaches Main Hall 3, he continues to Main Hall 2, Cam 03, and then to the Entrance Hall, Cam 04, where he appears outside the right doorway. If he is blocked by the corresponding door, Candy returns to the Main Stage after seven seconds. If not, he enters the Office and attacks the player, causing a Game Over.

One notable detail is that when Candy is preparing to leave either Main Hall 1 or the Arcade Area for one of their respective destination rooms, the room he chooses is selected at random if both destinations are vacant, with an equal 50-50 chance. However, if one of the rooms is occupied by another animatronic, he will always move to the empty one. This means that on later nights, Candy is technically more likely to approach from the right side than the left, since Chester, Old Candy, and The Rat all appear in the Secondary Party Room as part of their routes. If both destination rooms are blocked when Candy wants to move, he will enter whichever room opens up first.

Weaknesses

Trivia

  • Candy's model was stolen from Emil Macko prior to his use in the FNaC series by BFPFilms424, who used Candy for an unofficial fangame titled "Five Nights at Freddy's 3." BFP also renamed Candy to "Sugar" for the game.
    • Later, BFP removed Sugar and renamed "Five Nights at Freddy's 3" to "The Return To Freddy's: Classic," following requests from Scott Cawthon. Eventually, after the release of The Return to Freddy's 2, BFP re-added Sugar to TRTF:C due to community demand.
    • Sugar was also changed to a female in the games' lore and, while not appearing as a main antagonist, made cameos in The Return to Freddy's 3 and 4.
    • In The Return to Freddy's 5, Torture Sugar, a "tortured" version of the regular Sugar, was drastically redesigned due to BFP not wanting accusations of having stolen Candy's design to continue.
  • There was a debate over Candy's proper color. Some said Candy was purple, while others stated he was blue. Emil Macko later released an image of a plush Candy, with the plushie in blue.
    • The earliest pictures of Candy, without his signature tie, originally had him in blue.
    • Those who said Candy was purple may have simply mistaken Cindy for Candy, due to their rather similar designs.
  • An image of Candy was released on Twitter by a fake Scott Cawthon account, and a number of people subsequently believed that Candy would appear in the official Five Nights at Freddy's 3. This was later confirmed to be fake.
  • Candy appears in the very first teaser for FNaC, along with the word "soon." If brightened, the numbers "01000110," "01001110," "01000001," and "01000011" appear underneath the "soon." This is binary code for "FNAC."
  • Candy, Cindy, and the other animatronics are in the same style as the toy animatronics from FNaF 2, especially with the blushed cheeks.
  • Candy's reflection can be seen very faintly beside Mary Schmidt's overtime paycheck after completing Night 6. It looks like a frame from his jumpscare, and why it is included is currently unknown. The reflection slowly fades into visibility on the floor, as if Candy is staring at the paycheck.
  • Candy is one of the most popular original characters from any Five Nights at Freddy's fangame. He has also appeared in many other fangames.
  • Candy and Cindy are the only two animatronics active on Night 1.
  • Candy and Cindy are the only two animatronics to have Funtime versions of themselves as easter eggs in Five Nights at Candy's 3.
  • While Candy doesn't appear in the main gameplay of Five Nights at Candy's 3, he is seen in the Fishing with Candy minigame.
  • Candy the Cat and Emil "Ace" Macko are both mentioned, and in the case of the former, appear in the FNaF fan-game "DayShift at Freddy's."

New Candy

  • Candy appeared at the beginning of the Five Nights at Candy's 2 trailer with New Cindy, performing on stage.
  • Because of his and New Cindy's different appearance from the original Candy and Cindy, some people thought that the game was actually a prequel to Five Nights at Candy's 1. This was disproven at the release of the game.
  • Emil Macko confirmed that he created a new body for Candy for FNaC 2.
  • The Night 5 minigame seems to imply that New Candy was framed for murdering the security guard by either The Rat or The Cat, leading to the animatronics being recalled.
  • At Cam 11, certain blueprints or schematics are laying on the floor, most likely a drawing of the design for Candy and Cindy. It is hard to tell if it is of New, Normal, or Old Candy.
  • At first, most people thought he was a withered version of Candy shown in Five Nights at Candy's 1. This was later proved to be wrong; he is a withered version of a newer version of Candy.
