Appearance

General Description: Nightmare Freddy is an extensively tattered and exaggerated version of Freddy Fazbear, even more so than his torn appearance in the second game. He is brown in color with lighter coloring on his stomach, ears, and muzzle. His arms are bulky and held out wide in a similar fashion to the other nightmare animatronics. His body shape is more sharp-edged and flat, with the head being much taller and more narrow than any of the other Freddy counterparts.

Facial Features: Long sharp teeth with red-tinted ends, similar to Nightmare Fredbear. Razor-sharp claws. Shining yellow eyes with metallic gray material surrounding the glowing pupil, similar to Springtrap. The head appears separated into two parts by deterioration, revealing the head frame and a small second set of teeth. Red wires pour from the top of his head. Half of his right ear is missing. Most of the material surrounding his eyes has rotted away. He lacks eyebrows. Part of the bottom half of his muzzle is missing, giving him the appearance of a curled lip.

Clothing/Outfit: A black top hat and bow tie. The hat is torn with wires poking out.

Physical Traits: Large parts of his endoskeleton are exposed through tears and holes, especially through the upper torso and lower legs. His hands are identical to Springtrap's, but colored to match the bear color scheme. The tips of his fingers lack fabric, revealing more of the endoskeleton. His claws appear to be retractable in some appearances.

Freddles (Mini-Freddies): Three smaller versions of Nightmare Freddy that hang off his body and can detach to jump onto the player's bed. Each has blackish eyes with large glowing white pupils. Their damaged features differ from each other. One has a large bowtie while two others lack one. They have three fingers per hand and two toes per foot.

Personality

  • Cold-Hearted and Malicious: Nightmare Freddy is cold-hearted and malicious, appearing as a warped, twisted version of the original Freddy's persona.
  • Enjoys Tormenting and Mocking Victims: Like the other nightmares, Nightmare Freddy has no qualms about tormenting his victims with his metallic hands and enjoys mocking them when given the opportunity. His put-downs tend to be sardonic in nature.
  • Poetic Speech: Nightmare Freddy speaks somewhat poetically in his speech.
  • Low-Pitched, Monotonous, Gravelly, Robotic Voice: Nightmare Freddy speaks using a low-pitched, monotonous, gravelly, robotic voice.
  • Freddles Are Mischievous and Shy: The Freddles are mischievous and shy in contrast to Nightmare Freddy.

Should be comparable to the other animatronics, who can crush[3] skulls[4], survive[5] collapsing buildings[6], and are unharmed by a car crash that broke through a billboard[7]. Can one-shot the security guard[8]. They should scale to their novel counterparts due to being just as canon to the games, and are noted as alternate continuities[9]. The animatronics in the novels can tear off bathroom doors, destroy other animatronics their size, break open hinged doors, casually snap people's necks, break open a ceiling, break through a slide, and punch holes through people[10])

Powers and Techniques

Equipment

  • Freddles: The Freddles are Nightmare Freddy's helpers, appearing on the player's bed[27], if one doesn't scare them away they will be able to summon Nightmare Freddy.

Other

Standard Tactics:

Unlike the other nightmare animatronics, Nightmare Freddy only appears in the Bedroom if the player has failed to ward off the three Freddles, Nightmare Freddy's three miniature counterparts. Due to the Freddles appearing on the Bed, it seems that Nightmare Freddy may already be in the Bedroom from the start of the night, perhaps hiding under the bed.

When the Freddles begin to accumulate in your office, shine your flashlight on them before Freddy appears!
~ Nightmare Freddy Ultimate Custom Night description
Nightmare Freddy, similar to his behavior in Five Nights at Freddy's 4, will only appear if the Freddles fully accumulate on the player's desk and around the office. Much like that game, shining the flashlight on them will make them disappear. If the player lets too many of them gather together, Nightmare Freddy will be summoned, ending the run with a jumpscare.

Weaknesses: The Freddles can be sent away with a light[28].

Note

  • This version of Nightmare Freddy is primarily using Ultimate Custom Night as its basis due to being a creation made by Golden Freddy, being noted to be given flesh.

  9. "The truth is that after a while lore can become so dense that there isn't room for a story anymore. Another truth is that what makes for a good game doesn't necessarily make for a good book. Sometimes a timeline gets so full that the only way to tell a real story is have the story set in a different timeline, an alternate universe, a different location, or perhaps from a vantage point that isn't entirely what it appears to be."
