Adeleine (“Ado” as a nickname) is a character in the Kirby series, making her official debut in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. She came to Planet Popstar to study art. She is a talented young artist that can paint pictures that come to life.
Adeleine appears as the boss of Cloudy Park. During the battle, Ado stands safely behind her large, cloud-constructed canvas and paints enemies to attack Kirby. After Kirby defeats one of her drawings, she will get mad and make another. Her paintings are all bosses appearing in Kirby's Dream Land 2. They include Ice Dragon, Sweet Stuff, Mr. Shine & Mr. Bright, and Kracko respectively, none of which spawn enemies/obstacles that grant abilities. After Kirby defeats them all, Ado, now in a fit of rage, steps down from her canvas and attempts to attack Kirby by running around and flailing her brush back and forth. Once Kirby lands a single attack on her, Ado rolls off-screen, thus signifying Kirby's victory.
Adeleine appears in the second stage of the first world, Pop Star. She is simply painting a picture when a Crystal Shard falls next to her. She turns and picks it up, when Dark Matter materializes on her easel and possesses her. Kirby, Ribbon, and Waddle Dee then arrive to find her possessed, and are forced to battle her. In this battle, Adeleine paints N-Z, Bronto Burt, Mariel, Mumbies, and a mass of jumbled pixels. After all of the enemies are defeated, Adeleine paints two stronger enemies; a drawing of Ice Dragon and a drawing of Dark Matter. After the Dark Matter drawing is defeated, Adeleine, now furious, jumps off of the stump and starts rapidly swiping her brush while charging at Kirby. She can be defeated in one hit.
Throughout various levels of the game, Adeleine will appear and paint items for Kirby. If Kirby enters the area Adeleine is in with full life, she paints a 1UP, otherwise she paints a Maxim Tomato. She may also paint pictures to help Kirby solve puzzles so he can obtain a shard.
Adeleine appears in Kirby Star Allies as one of the Dream Friends that came in the second update. She is paired up with Ribbon as a single Dream Friend in a similar manner to Rick & Kine & Coo. Adeleine can create paintings of past enemies and bosses and has a few moves from her boss fight.Ribbon is a character in the Kirby series, debuting as an ally in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. She is a fairy from Ripple Star and is Kirby’s presumed love interest. Ribbon makes her debut in the Nintendo 64 game, Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. In this, she resides on the heart-shaped planet, Ripple Star. When the giant cloud of Dark Matter takes over her home, she rushes to the castle to alert the Fairy Queen. The queen then tells her to take the Crystal and safely escape from Ripple Star. Ribbon then grabs the Crystal and flies away, but is tailed by three Dark Matters that split from the mass. The three of them attack the fairy and shatter the Crystal into at least seventy-two shards which are scattered across the solar system. Ribbon then crashes onto Planet Popstar, right on top of our star-gazing hero, Kirby. He sees that a piece of the crystal on the ground is the same as the one Ribbon has, and offers to help her restore Ripple Star to its former glory, and the two set out to find the rest of the Crystal Shards. Along the way, the duo encounter three inhabitants of Popstar who have found Crystal Shards and have been possessed by Dark Matter—Waddle Dee, Adeleine and King Dedede. After freeing them, the three then agree to join Ribbon and Kirby save Ripple Star. Eventually the team of heroes reach Ripple Star only to find that it has been almost entirely been covered in darkness while they were finding the Shards. Eventually, Kirby reaches the top of Ripple Star's grand castle and encounter Miracle Matter - the apparent cause of Dark's Matter's appearance on Ripple Star. After a long battle, Kirby manages to defeat it. However, while Dark Matter has very visibly left Ripple Star, an abnormally powerful presence resides within the Queen Fairy. Once the gang has found all of the Crystal Shards, a beam is shot from the completed Crystal at the Queen Fairy, freeing her from its evil grasp. The remaining force then leaves the atmosphere and, in a last-ditch effort to salvage its plans, forms a foreboding giant planet known as the Dark Star nearby. Once they arrive at the core, Ribbon carries Kirby, allowing the player to fly freely during the battle against the real villain, 0². After Kirby and the group defeat 0² using the Ribbon + Crystal Power Combo, the threat is over and the band of heroes return to Ripple Star. There, they are given crystal medals of honor. Ribbon gives Kirby a quick kiss on the cheek, who blushes profusely and then bashfully dances in a stupor as he accidentally crashes the ceremony.

Standard Tactics: Adeleine creates various paintings and hides behind them pre-star allies, but after learning more painting skills she physically attacks with her brush and receives help from Ribbon.

Note: Despite some abilities coming from Post-Star Allies there is no true reason why Ribbon cannot have them for Pre-Star allies as they’re natural innate abilities not gained from a special item or from a helper.
Note 2: Despite there being some implications that Ado and Adeleine are different people it is accepted here that they are the same character. Due to them having very similar appearances, the very same abilities, and using the same enemies in their boss fight it is far safer to assume they are the same character then otherwise.
