Rayquaza
Rayquaza first appeared in Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire and Emerald the 16 September 2004, as the primordial legendary to defeat the continental power of Groudon and Kyogre. Since then, Rayquaza appeared in a bunch of spin-off games such as Rumble Rush, Mystery Dungeon, Pikachu's adventure and even in non-Pokémon game such as Super Smash Bros. He finally achieved the power of Mega evolution through Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire appearing in the Delta Episode to defeat Deoxys.
Rayquaza's home is in the ozone layers where he's said to have been living for millions of years by feeding on particles. Rayquaza is rarely seen by people even while flying and has almost never appeared to the human eye. Rayquaza would also absorbs meteorite it founds to enhance his power over Mega evolution but nothing else is much known about him.

Appearance
General Description: Rayquaza is a large, green, serpentine Pokémon that resembles a missile. It has small, yellow eyes with black pupils, prominent pink gums, and two discernible fangs in its upper jaw.
Physical Features: Red-tipped, rudder-like wings on its shoulders and down its body. Similarly patterned fins on the tip of its tail. Yellow ring-like symbols run across the length of its body, with an additional yellow ring on top of its head. Two limbs with three-clawed hands. Two long, flat, horn-like structures on its head, with two shorter horns along its jawline.
Mega Rayquaza: Its body becomes longer and gains more features. Its head becomes longer with the Δ symbol appearing on its forehead. Its eyes now contain yellow pupils and red irises, with black, shichishito-shaped markings trailing behind its eyes. Its red lips and teeth become gold, with gold lines connecting to those on its lower horns, which take on a broad, triangular shape. Long, golden, glowing tendrils extend from the outer edges of its lower horns to green, fin-like structures, with ring patterns resembling the yellow markings of its normal form. While in flight, these tendrils give Mega Rayquaza a Δ-shaped profile. Its two upper horns become longer with a gold line running over them in a V shape, and each upper horn has another glowing tendril ending in a circular shape with a spike. Golden, glowing orbs are placed along its body where its ring patterns used to be. The chin, part of the neck, and parts of its serpentine body are changed to black. The fins running along its body are now marked with gold lines, while the fins on its tail become entirely yellow and substantially longer. Particles stream from the long tendrils extending from its jutting jaw, allowing Mega Rayquaza to control the density and humidity of the air and manipulate the weather. Its green hide sparkles with an emerald-like quality.
Alternate Forms/Disguises: Mega Rayquaza is considered an alternate form of Rayquaza.

Other
Standard Tactics: Will use Dragon Dance to enhance his speed and attack before attacking his opponent with Extreme Speed or Dragon Pulse | Will try to Power Null the opponent with his wind and greenish light. If the opponent is too far away it'll immediately go into the ozone layer and descend to charge at the opponent at high speeds with Dragon Ascent.
Weaknesses:
- Standard Pokemon Weaknesses: Pokemon being greatly angered causes them to be confused[32]. The usage of struggle makes the Pokemon take recoil damage, even if they've barely damaged an opponent[12]. Pokemon become too scared to move when dealing with an entity[33] that cannot be ID'd[33]. One Hit KO Moves do not work if the opponent is higher leveled[34]. Startling a Pokémon in the middle of its evolution will cause it to not evolve[35].
- Type Weaknesses: Dragon and Flying types are weak to Fairy, Dragons, Rock and extremely weak to Ice type moves. However, Delta Stream removes his weakness to Rock type and reduces the damage of Ice type move upon Mega Evolving.
Note
- As Rayquaza absorbs meteorite into himself in order to gain enough power to Mega Evolve[4], and the fact his bond is reliant to people’s wish for salvation over him[4]. Rayquaza is the only Pokémon able to Mega Evolve without a specific trainer bond or the need to hold an item. However, he would still need someone's wish over him and a keystone, therefore shouldn't be considered as a form he can use anytime.
