Background

Muichiro Tokito is a protagonist of the manga and anime series, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. A fairly distant and quiet swordsman, Muichiro serves as one of the ten elite Demon Slayers known as the Pillars. In particular, Muichiro is the Mist Pillar, as he specializes in the Mist Breathing style.

Muichiro makes his first substantial appearance when Tanjiro Kamado travelled to Swordsmith Village, where Muichiro is seen training with a machine known as Yoriichi Type-Zero. Although apprehensive about Tanjiro's cause to save his sister at first, Tanjiro's persistance and immense skill ended up earning him Muichiro's respect.

The Mist Pillar later shows up during the war on Muzan Kibutsuji, where he gives everything he has into putting down the First and most dangerous of the Twelve Demon Moons, Kokushibo, who also turned out to be his distant descendant. After unlocking a series of new abilities, as well as receiving horrible damage, Muichiro ended up being invaluable to Kokushibo's destruction.

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Weapon Mastery (Wields a sword with great proficiency), Regeneration (Low; Total Concentration Breathing allows for Demon Slayers to cease a hemorrhage), Immortality Negation (Type 1, 3, & 7; Nichrin Sword's are made of a type of metal that can kill demons when normal weapons cannot, as demons can survive fatal strikes such as decapitation much like the undead), Heat Manipulation & Regeneration Negation (High-Mid; Is able to obtain a Bright Red Nichirin Sword, which burn on contact, and are able to slow the regeneration of Muzan Kibutsuji to the point where it seems to have come to a halt. Notable Techniques

A Breathing Style that has been directly derived from one of the original five Breathing Styles, Wind Breathing. Mist Breathing mimics the obscurity of mist, incorporating extremely swift strikes and movements that obscures an opponents senses. Users of Mist Breathing visualize themselves as being enveloped in a cloud of mist.

• First Form - Low Clouds, Distant Haze: The user unleashes a powerful thrust attack in front of them.
• Second Form - Eight-Layered Mist: The user unleashes eight forward slashes with each one on top of the other in extremely quick succession.
• Third Form - Scattering Mist Splash: The user releases a powerful circular slash in front of them that can be used to blow away projectiles.
• Fourth Form - Shifting Flow Slash: The user quickly unsheathes their sword and dashes towards their enemy at blinding speeds and delivers a quick slash from beneath them.
• Fifth Form - Sea of Clouds and Haze: The user dashes forward at high speed and unleashes a flurry of slashes that cover a wide area while obscuring their movements.
• Sixth Form - Lunar Dispersing Mist: The user backflips into the air while upside down and delivers countless ranged slashes downwards, capable of decimating dozens of targets at once.
• Seventh Form - Obscuring Clouds: The user drastically changes the tempo of their movement to disorient their enemy, which seemingly takes the form of clouds of mist enveloping a wide area. When the user shows themselves, their speed will appear to be extremely slow but when they hide, the user moves in the blink of an eye.

Weaknesses: Muichiro will do whatever it takes to defeat his target, even at the cost of his own limbs or life. He lost both his hand and eventually his torso in the fight against Kokushibo to assure victory, which resulted in both of their deaths.
