Background

Slime reappears in Mario Sports Mix for the Wii as an unlockable playable character. It is classified as a Tricky type character, and is the only character not originating from the Mario or Final Fantasy series (not counting Miis). Slime's best stat is its power, while it suffers from weak speed and abysmal technique.

General Information

Sex: Unknown

Codex Statistics

Tier: Varies. 8-B, up to 6-C

Cardinality: Finite

Dimensionality: 3-D

Attack Potency: Varies (Mario and his friends are noted to be akin to a troupe of actors, taking on different roles depending on the game[1], with his gimmick being attributed to the same as Mickey Mouse, with their strength and skills even being shown to vary with it being shown with Mario being unable to take on Wario in his pixelated form due to the Wario using a different physiology to make him be unable to interact requiring him to turn to a similar physiology to beat him). City Block level, up to Island level (Scales to other Crossover characters like Ninja who can harm Mario and those comparable to him)

Durability: Varies. City Block level, up to Island level (Can tank attacks from Mario and friends)

Powers and Techniques

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Self-Sustenance (Type 1, can breath in space), Human Achievements (Talented in multiple sports), Dimensional Storage (Can store items for later use), Weapon Creation (The cast of mario sport mix can create energy based hockey sticks), Summoning (Can summon other slimes), Paint (Like everyone else can use paint which gives the following: Conceptual Manipulation (Like every other character Slime can remove paint from anyone with any attack. The next set of the abilities are what paint makes up, and thus Slime can remove them. See notes for extra information on paint), Life Manipulation & Death Manipulation (Paint makes up all of life), Mind Erasure & Memory Erasure (Paint makes up the mind and memory), Metaphysics Manipulation (Soul Manipulation; Paint makes up the souls), Empathic Manipulation (Paint can inflict anger, sadness, self-consciousness, and remove motivation. It can also remove said emotions), Poison Manipulation (Paint can inflict poison), Blood Manipulation (Paint makes up blood), Power Nullification (Paint can nullify abilities and forces you to use an ability that's the same color as the paint)).

Resistance to Conceptual Manipulation (Can survive attacks from Mario which every one of his attacks are conceptual attacks that take away paint

Equipment

Depends on the current sport they are participating in, otherwise none.

Optional Equipment

Various items

Other

Weaknesses: None notable

Note 1 : Concerning Paint, even goombas can remove paint from attack without anything special.

Note 2 : In Paper Mario Color Splash, the main point of the game is paint. Paint is a concept. As shown in the game, paint encompasses everything. And I mean everything. Paint is shown to be all of land, liquid, life (Once bringing Toad back via paint, Huey states that paint gives life. Additionally, paint can return the blood, organs, and skin to an old fossil that's been dead years ago), mind (Paint can speak to your mind by coloring your thoughts. Paint was able to take over Bowser's body and freely act on their own. Big Paint Stars are also shown to be alive), memory (Toad couldn't remember anything with the loss of paint on his head. Returning paint gave his memories back), emotions, space (even simple holes require paint to function as holes) and souls. Removing any paint would stop making anything work. It's everything.

"If you're familiar with things like Popeye and some of the old comic characters, you would oftentimes see this cast of characters that takes on different roles depending on the comic or cartoon," Miyamoto said. "They might be businessman in one [cartoon] or a pirate in another. Depending on the story that was being told, they would change roles. So, to a certain degree, I look at our characters in a similar way and feel that they can take on different roles in different games."
