Supervillains are now a thing of the past, and so are the heroes, as New York now has a new merciless police force called "The Reign". Mayor Waters announces a new protection system called WEBB, to prevent the city from attacks. An elderly J. Jonah Jameson delivers a camera to Peter, but instead of it holding film, it holds Peter's old black suit mask. This encourages him to put it on and fight a group of Reign members. After Mayor Waters discovers the possible return of Spider-Man, he releases an elderly version of the Sinister Six from jail, now called "The Sinner Six", who are promised freedom if Spider-Man is defeated. An elderly version of Hypno-Hustler also hears the news and decides to help his former foe by distracting the Reign. Unluckily, his boombox runs out of power and is immediately killed. Peter's apartment is shot with a missile as he struggles with his Mary Jane hallucinations, acting as a guide for his actions in the present day. After the smoke clears, Spider-Man leaps out cheerfully and uses his old tactics of taunting his foes. Spider-Man is cornered by the Sinner Six, but in the final moments, Kraven rips his mask off, disheartening the crowd when they realize their hero is an old, defeated man. His life is saved at the last moment by Dr. Octopus, who is now dead, but a final command to his tentacles (he had referred to them as his "Four Sons") cause them to show Peter three grave-markers: those of Mary Jane Watson-Parker, May Parker, and Ben Parker. The tentacles dig up Mary Jane's body, and Peter recalls how he accidentally caused her death giving her cancer due to prolonged exposure to the radioactivity in his seminal fluids. He was given a choice to stay with her as she died, or attend to gunshots outside. After he returned from the gunfight, Mary Jane had already died, prompting Peter to give up the Spider-Man mantle. After being buried in Mary Jane's coffin by Doc Ock's tentacles and coming face-to-face with and conquering his past demons within, Peter emerges in his famous red and blue suit, which he secretly buried with her after her death. In the Mayor's office, a detained Jameson attacks him, only to realize that Edward Saks, the mayor's assistant, is actually Venom. Venom uses the WEBB system to project his suit, converting the population of New York into an army of symbiotes that does his bidding. He calls the Sinister Six back to guard the building as Peter begins his assault. The unconverted population use bells to drive the symbiote invasion back, and Sandman decides to go back to the good side of the law when the Reign attacks his daughter, whom he had never met before. Spider-Man defeats the remaining members of the Sinister Six and battles Venom, perhaps his last fight. Sandman comes at the last minute, gives Peter a detonator telling him that the six of them were implanted with detonators that would explode if they ever disobeyed Waters' orders. Peter activates the detonator causing the Six to explode, and killing Venom in the process. After Venom and the Reign are defeated, Jameson reports that all crime levels are back where they were years ago, but so are heroes. As Peter visits Mary Jane's grave, he states that he will join her in peace one day, but until then, he has "responsibilities". He was later seen to be apparently killed by Daemos, by crushing his head with Mary Jane's tombstone. |

Codex Statistics
Tier: Varies, usually 8-C. Far Higher with Resolve
Cardinality: Varies
Dimensionality: 3-D
Attack Potency: Varies (It is directly noted in "The End", there is a balance between good and evil where even when evil grows stronger, heroes will also grow stronger and even come back from the dead if need be to stop the new evils, keeping a balance between good and evil[1]. Thor has noted that a ones strength is relative to the need for it, if he has to he can stand on Jupiter, he can stand on anything if the need is great and the cause is just, as can anyone else, not being measured by strength nor raw power but rather measured by what they do[2]. It is noted by Stan Lee in response to the questions of "who would win in a fight?" is the person the writer decides to win[3], with the meta aspect of Marvel Comics being acknowledged[4]), usually Building level (Potency) (Can harm those who can harm him. Fought and defeated the Sinister Six after accepting his responsibility, fought several symbiotes who can destroy concrete). Far Higher with Resolve (Heroes are noted to be able to defy all logic and reason, to find some hidden well of strength and resolve allowing them to break through things they shouldn't be able to[5], Mephisto directly notes that a hero can reach deep into themself and find untapped reserves of strength that allows them to "lift the impossible weight"[6]. It is shown in "HOW TO READ COMICS THE MARVEL WAY #4", Spider-Man notes how when he has to call upon all of the inner strength within himself[7]. Spider-Man noted how when he knew he couldn't let Aunt May down he reached deep inside of himself and do the impossible and do anything to save the ones he loves[8]. Thor just having a motivational speech from Peter Parker amplifies him to easily defeat M.Y.T.H.O.S.[9], when he couldn't beat him beforehand[10]. Conan noted that the human will can be greater than any physical strength, even sorcery[11]. When Morlun was about to kill Spider-Man, he remembered his friends and family and got a resolve boost to start overpowering him[12]. The Thing through his heart alone when he was about to turn back into Ben Grimm was able to beat The Hulk in one punch who he admitted was stronger then him[13]. When Spider-Man in the first Sam Raimi movies loved ones are endangered Peter becomes far more powerful being capable of completely stomping someone who was previously stomping him[14]. Raimi Spider-Man in Marvel Cinematic Universe was originally defeated by Green Goblin, and in their next fight when completely angered, easily beat him down and was going to kill him if Raimi Spider-Man didn't stop him)
Durability: Varies, usually Building level (Was in the epicenter of an explosion that completely took out a building). Far Higher with Resolve
Striking Strength: Varies, usually Building Class (Potency). Far Higher with Resolve
Lifting Strength: Varies, Far Higher with Resolve
Travel Speed: Varies, usually Likely Superhuman, Higher with Web Swinging. Far Higher with Resolve
Attack Speed: Varies, usually Superhuman (Could blitz a Reign soldier before they could shoot him[15]). Far Higher with Resolve
Reaction Speed: Varies, usually Superhuman. Far Higher with Resolve
Stamina: Unknown
Range: Standard Melee Range, Dozens of Meters with Webs
Intelligence: Genius (Upon accepting his responsibility, with very little time to prepare, he climbed up the Reign tower and defeated all of the Sinister Six members on each floor[16]. Created his own web shooters)

Resistance to Fear Manipulation (Resisted Mysterio's fear toxins, even breathing them in showing he no longer can be affected[19])
Equipment
- Spider-Man's Suit: This is the traditional suit that Spider-Man has used throughout his superhero career. It is made from a skintight cloth, most likely Spandex or something similar. The costume is mostly blue with red gloves, boots, mid-section, and mask. Peter designed a web pattern that covers the red portions of the suit, starting at the mask. The suit also has a black spider in the center of the chest and a larger red spider on the back, both of different designs. The mask has plastic lenses with a chrome covering that allow Peter to see out, without letting others see in. The lenses also protect Peter's eyes from dust particles and the glare of the sun while he is swinging through the city. In addition, the mask helps to conceal Peter's identity by muffling his voice, thus making it unrecognizable to others. He also wears a twin set of web shooters on his wrists under the gloves. A web cartridge belt is also worn under the suit, which has a spider-signal on the buckle. The suit also contains a special ear-piece that protects Spider-Man from the effects of Hobgoblin's sonic attack. Spider-Man has recently updated the lenses of the suit to protect himself from Iguana's hypnotic stare.
Notable Techniques
- Spider-Sense: A mystical sixth sense that allows him to sense incoming danger and avoid attacks.
