Background

Red Pyramid Thing, more colloquially known as Pyramid Head, is a humanoid monster in the Silent Hill franchise first appearing in Silent Hill 2. His red helmet and butcher's attire echo the executioners of the town's past, who worshiped the angel of rebirth, Valtiel. He is a manifestation of James Sunderland's guilt and desire for punishment, existing to keep him human and help him remember his past actions.

However, Pyramid Head also exists to keep James human and help him realize that he is guilty, often attacking other monsters to fulfill his role and symbolizing removing visions from James' psyche. His constant murder of a reincarnating Maria is also his attempt to wake James up from his delusion and force him to remember his past actions. Once James finally accepts and overcomes his sin, Pyramid Head kills himself as his purpose for existing has been finished)

Attack Potency: Wall level (He can easily break spines, squeeze heads in, can kick a door of its hinges, and punch through someone's torso. Can destroy a fence, bisect humans, smash through metal doors, and can slice through cut metal and steel bars with his Great Knife)

Durability: Wall level (Can take hits from his own Great Knife. Has regularly shaken of a variety of gunfire, such as shotgun rounds, automatic fire, and extended volleys. A red-hot length of metal rammed into his chest does no lasting damage to him. Pyramid Head is an incarnation of one's guilt and need for punishment and can only be vanquished once they've come to terms with it), Clairvoyance (Can detect people despite them being out of his vision), Weapon Usage (Primarily wields his Great Knife, but has also used his spear and the White Hunter's Lance), Invulnerability (Is unflinching to any damage he receives as conventional weapons are ineffective against him), Body Control (Can extend a large tongue-like appendage), Duplication (Duplicated himself during his final confrontation with James), Teleportation (Can spawn randomly throughout Silent Hill), Illusion Creation (Type 2. His radius of destruction forces his immediate surroundings to resemble the Otherworld), Perception Manipulation (Anyone who sees Pyramid Head won't view his existence as the same, as their perception of him will match their own), Animal Manipulation (Can control a horde of man eating insects), Possession, Transmutation and Mind Manipulation (Can possess and turn others into other Pyramid Heads by putting on one of his helmets)
