Summary/Backstory

At the beginning of everything, The Lucid Dreamer birthed Gridlith, The All Seeing Eye. The All Seeing Eye was the dream, while it's creator was the dreamer. Gridlith spawned an infinite amount of beings known simply as The High Minded Kings. These beings were the first of Gridlith's experiment of granting sentient life "free will", and as such made them transcendent over things such as predetermined fates. The Kings all varied in values and morals, with some being genuinely kind, some being neutral, and some being outright chaotic.

However, The All Seeing Eye wished to remain as an observer, and no matter what kept a neutral stance whenever the kings would do anything. They continued going about their half kind hearted, half chaotic ways, until one day a mere human ascended to The High Minded Castle. The Human's name was "Gautama Buddha", and he ascended to the High Minded Castle through somehow achieving true enlightenment and a High Mind himself. Buddha in his world of humans was a man who believed in "Nirvana" however the Nirvana he sought, was in fact The High Minded Castle.

The All Seeing Eye granted Buddha with the endless knowledge, and a place within the High Minded Castle, making him the first being to have "earned" the rank of High Minded King, and possibly the only being, for since countless aeons, there has yet to be another being to have ascended "Nirvana" as Buddha truly has. To this day many mere humans seek to follow in Buddha's footsteps, achieving a state of enlightenment beyond selfish desire as Buddha before them.

Appearance

The High Minded Kings have no true forms, however many of them have countless avatars, that can vary in appearance, and interpretation. The most notable of these avatars was apparently recorded at The Battle of Sekigahara on earth. What their motive was, or even what they did during the battle, remains a mystery. The avatar of that King is simply described as being "a pale and transparent being, resembling some sort of wandering spirit."

Personality

The personality of a High Minded King varies greatly from each one. Some are genuinely kind-hearted, some are simply neutral and some are shamelessly chaotic.
