SCP-548

From The Codex
"Mature Content"
This character or verse has mature themes and concepts, thus those of young age are ill-advised to look through these.

Background

SCP-548 is a female Cyriopagopus lividus which also happens to posses venom which instead of poisoning one gives them frostbites, something which it uses to great effect while hunting its prey. Its preferred method of hunting is to inject its prey with venom and then to drag them to safe location where it then proceeds to cut them to pieces while frozen using its jaw.

Powers and Techniques

Small Size (Bug-Sized; SCP-548 is a female cobalt tarantula 7.3 centimeters long), Natural Weaponry and Penetration Damage (Physical Penetration; SCP-548's feeding structures are normal for a spider except for the maxillae, which are extremely hard and serrated), Poison Manipulation and Cold Manipulation (SCP-548's venom undergoes a highly endothermic reaction on contact with living tissue; a single bite, injecting less than 0.5 mL venom, causes an average temperature drop of 38°C in the affected area. One bite is sufficient to cause localized frostbite in a human, and may even be lethal should the venom reach the central circulatory system. If one is smaller then SCP-548 they are frequently frozen solid upon having the venom injected).

Resistance to Bone Manipulation (Tarantulas do not have bones), Ice Manipulation and Cold Manipulation (SCP-548 may be frozen solid with no apparent ill effects, surviving repeated freezings, each time resuming normal behavior upon thawing)

Equipment
