Yazoo
Whisper Croceo

An entity from a future timeline that has manifested in the present day. It fights with guns to protect the future that gave shape to it.
~ Whisper Croceo’s Enemy Intel

Background

Whisper Croceo is an entity that was summoned alongside Whisper Rubrum and Whisper Viridi, by the Whisper Harbinger. When Cloud Strife and his party followed Sephiroth through a portal into Destiny’s Crossroads, the Whisper Harbinger awaited them on the other side, ready to do whatever it took to preserve the flow of history.

Because they stood directly in its path, the Whisper Harbinger viewed Cloud and his party as an immediate threat, and thus tried to defeat them in order to restore balance. Through this, three entities were summoned from a future timeline; including Whisper Rubrum.

In truth, Whisper Croceo was here fighting to preserve the future that it came from. Wielding a gun and fighting alongside two of its “brothers,” this Whisper was soon revealed to be one of the future Remnants of Sephiroth, Yazoo.

Rubrum, Viridi, and Croceo fought against Cloud Strife, Barret Wallace, and Tifa Lockhart in order to preserve their existence in the future they came from. This battle would carry out long enough that the three Whispers would be forced to fuse together, into the great Whisper Bahamut.

Unfortunately, even assuming the form of Whisper Bahamut, Cloud and his party were too much for them to handle. The Whispers separated and were defeated, vanishing away and clearing a path towards the Whisper Harbinger itself.
