Background

Panda is a supporting character in Jujutsu Kaisen and a protagonist in the Prequel Series. Not an actual panda, he is an Abrupt Mutated Cursed Corpse created by principal Masamichi Yaga and attends Jujutsu High as a second-year student.

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Immortality (Type Martial Arts, Weapon Usage (Uses knuckle bracers), Enhanced Senses (Can see Cursed Spirits invisible to the human eye), Energy Manipulation, Statistics Amplification (Sorcerers can amplify their physical power by flowing Cursed Energy through their bodies), Non-Physical Interaction (Can interact with curses, who are abstract manifestations born out of people's thoughts, minds and negative emotions), Transformation (Panda has three modes of combat that he can transform into), Durability Negation (The strikes of Gorilla Mode cause "resonance" so even if the opponent tries to block it, they still get hit)

Intelligence: Above Average (Panda was highly intelligent from a young age due to the circumstances of his creation and his education under Principal Yaga. In a fight, Panda is highly analytical and tries to stay one step ahead of his opponent. Even Suguru Geto, a sorcerer with immense tactical reasoning, was surprised by Panda's cleverness in battle. Against Mechamaru, Panda consistently thought about every move before he made it. He was able to calculate the angle of Mechamaru's cannon so it wouldn't also hit his allies. In that same battle, Panda fooled Mechamaru multiple times by faking an injury to his cores and won that fight because his opponent underestimated his intelligence)

Standard Tactics: Panda will lead with melee combat and over the course of the fight will shift into whatever core is preferable for the fight, such as Gorilla Mode for close quarters combat.

Weaknesses: If any of Panda's cores are damaged, Panda is unable to shift into that form until it recovers. In his Gorilla Mode, his cursed energy is rapidly draining.

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

Cursed Energy (Juryoku?): A power source aligned with negative emotions used by sorcerers and curses to fuel their jujutsu. As a cursed corpse, Panda naturally possess a high degree of cursed energy. With training Panda has learned to reinforce his physical body to balance out his offense and defense. His jujutsu protection can envelop his body with cursed energy in a flash, capable of defending techniques most sorcerers would need to evade.

• Cursed Corpse Cores: There exists three cores within Panda's body: the balanced-type Panda, the power-type Gorilla, and a third core yet to be revealed. If any of these cores are damaged, Panda is unable to shift into that form until it recovers. Panda is capable of manipulating his cursed energy to fake the location of these cores, effectively compensating for these weak points.
  • Gorilla Mode: By switching to his "brother's" core, Panda can transform into "Gorilla Mode". His appearance shifts to that of a muscular gorilla while maintaining the Panda color scheme. Panda is much stronger and faster in this form but at the cost of rapidly draining his cursed energy. While in Gorilla Mode, any strike Panda lands with resonate through the targets body using the "Unblockable Drumming Beat". The impact of the hit sends a shockwave through the user's guard, so they feel the damage even if they defend.
