---|
Over the last 20 years, Void, Blast, and a group of collaborators searched for the mysterious cubes linked to "God" that could transform humans into monsters. They found these cubes allowed communication with "God," referring to them as out-of-place artifacts (ooparts). At some point, "God" transformed Void into a Mysterious Being, making him a pawn, which led Blast to confront and defeat his former partner. After suffering defeat at the hands of the highest-ranked hero 15 years ago, Void was seriously injured and placed in a recovery capsule. At some time in the past, he founded the Ninja Village to cultivate suitable individuals from childhood who could be granted power by "God," with those individuals being the ninjas trained within the village. Ninjas Arc
Later, after Sonic and Flash defeat the Heavenly Ninja Party, Void employs his illusion abilities to pose as Flash. In this disguise, he suddenly appears next to Sonic and tricks him into touching a mysterious cube, catching the ninja off-guard. Flash desperately tries to stop this by rushing towards and shouting at Sonic but fails. Upon contact, the cube immediately renders Sonic unconscious. Flash attacks Void from behind, who dodges his sword strike, appears behind him while restraining his sword hand, and mocks him for being too slow. He then evades a kick from Flash and strikes him in the chest with the mysterious cube, rendering him unconscious as well. Having broken free from the effect of the cube on his own, Sonic wakes Flash up by punching him hard in the face, to Void's surprise. He comments on the dynamic between the duo that those who are overconfident in their abilities cannot maintain an equal relationship, and that it's only a matter of time before they inevitably drift apart. Flash mistakenly interprets this as Void speaking about himself and Blast, but he clarifies that he is referring to Sonic and Flash - the former excelling in mental fortitude, while the latter surpasses in skill, resulting in a balanced partnership. Vehemently disagreeing with Void's assessment, Sonic and Flash generate numerous afterimages through their high-speed movements and charge at the ninja leader in a coordinated effort to impale him. Since Sonic has proven resistant to the cube's effect, Void decides to eliminate him. The duo's attack misses as Void warps himself to a hyperspace dimension outside the normal flow of causality. In this transdimensional space, he can perceive the infinite branching of parallel universes and realities of the multiverse, visualized as floating "bubbles" that he can interact with using a special technique. Focusing on the bubble containing Sonic and Flash, Void identifies Sonic as the primary target before utilizing his Dimensional Slash to cut through the selected bubble, striking Sonic's location from outside the universe. Seemingly sensing the impending attack, Flash warns Sonic, who is then struck by several dimensional slashes that seemingly obliterate his upper body. Witnessing Sonic's apparent death, a horrified Flash is confronted by the teleporting Void, who aims to exploit Flash's emotional vulnerability and tries to convert him into a Mysterious Being once more. Before Void can use the mysterious cube to put Flash to sleep again, Blast intervenes, punching him back with his Gravity Knuckle and saving the fellow S-Class hero. It is then revealed that Sonic was in fact saved by Blast as well, who had used a portal to conceal Sonic's upper body and trick Void, making it look like his upper body got destroyed. |

Powers and Techniques
All beings in One-Punch Man have a Limiter which through trying to break it, starts granting them the following abilities: Indomitable Will (One that breaks their limiter need to have extreme will to continue[30]), Mimicry (Physiology Mimicry; Limiter users should scale to Phoenix Man, who could gain abilities based off the inspiration of his costume[31]), Supernatural Resilience (Characters like Garou were able to survive being ripped apart and a hole in his chest[32]), Resurrection (To experience explosive growth, one must be on the brink of death and die than resurrect[33]), Reactive Adaptation (Garou has shown to increase himself to blitzing and overpowering Darkshine, who previously managed to break his entire ribcage, by breaking his limiter[34])
Equipment
- Monsterizing Cubes: Void keeps a monsterizing cube in his possession. By either inducing someone to make physical contact with the cube, or forcibly pressing it against them, he can trigger its ability to immediately render them unconscious for a temporary duration. While unconscious, the victim experiences a vision or dream in which they encounter "God," who offers them power. He attempted to convert Sonic and Flash into monsters using this method.
- Swords: Empty Void has two swords on his back that he uses in combat, they are far more powerful then regular blades as they can cut through Blast's energy projectiles[35].
Notable Techniques
- Dimensional Slash: A technique bestowed upon Void by "God" that involves interference from a higher dimension. When used, he goes outside the causality of the universe, where he can perceive endless floating "bubbles" representing parallel worlds and their possibilities, which he interacts with using a special jutsu. After choosing a specific one, Void pinpoints the target of his attack before slicing through the selected bubble in order to unleash interdimensional slashes that manifest at the target's exact location from outside the universe; its effectiveness, however, depends on the user's capabilities. During its first use, Void unleashed widespread, devastating slashes from this higher plane aimed at the Hero Association headquarters, splitting the surface and creating deep holes in the ground.
- Monsterizing Cube Illusions: Empty Void can forcibly press the cube against a target putting them into an illusionary space to tempt them into becoming monsters.
- Absorption: Empty Void can absorb energy from one's body, including when he absorbed the divine energy coming from Awakened Garou's body.
- Outside of Causality: Void is able to access outside of causality and view parallel worlds of every possibility and choose the specific one he wants to attack.
Other
Standard Tactics: Empty Void currently has shown to attack from outside of the causality of the universe.
Weaknesses: Nothing notable.
