Background

Yashiro Nene is a first-year high schooler attending Kamome Gakuen. She has been attending the academy since middle school and has been friends with Akane Aoi. In the school's albums, it was shown that she was part of the gardening club for many years, gaining an aptitude for growing vegetables and planting. She recounts this as a feminine trait in addition to sewing and cooking after making an attempt to impress a boy. Unfortunately, it had failed miserably, along with other similar encounters with boys her type.

In addition to her planting expertise, she also has a fondness for hamsters, taking precautions every now and then to make sure their cages are safely cleaned even after the Mermaid's curse. She currently owns a pet hamster, but sometimes refers back to her previous hamsters (eg. White Inferno during the Yousei-san arc, and also Black Canyon). She is heavily a hopeless romantic, with her type being tall, intellectual, and handsome. However, she falls in love quite easily only to end in misery after having her ankles commented on, such as Daikon legs, fat and or swollen ankle (which has become a recurring reaction). The 4PM Bookstacks arc record events of her writing secret diaries and poems to express her one-sided affection. As of now, she currently lives in an apartment complex (Room 504) a short distance from a local playground. There is no mention of her interacting with her parents frequently, but in the manga, they are shown standing next to her in the school's entrance ceremony.

Superhuman Characteristics, Enhanced Senses, Non-Phyiscal Interaction and Soul Manipulation (Is able to interact with ghosts like Hanako and other abstract beings.), Regeneration (Low-Mid, Nene can survive and regenerate from her insides being crushed), Conceptual Manipulation (Is able to change the rumors of other spirits and erase them as well), Summoning (Is able to summon Hanako whenever she says his name), Memory Manipulation (Is able to see and destroy the memories of people after coming in contact with them or destroying their Yorishiro), Extrasensory Perception (Is able to see ghosts and abstract beings, even before she was bonded with Hanako), Immortality (Types 4, 5, and 6. Nene is protected by Hanako, While in a boundary, life and death are irrelevant to Nene, Nene is able to survive getting her insides crushed), Fusionism (Type 1, Hanako bonded his concept with Nene for the rest of Nene's life and her next life), Acausality & Reality Separation (Type 3, Nene can exist outside of reality and time via the space between near and far shore, which has been stated to have no location within the verse and be completely removed from the normal rules of both near and far shore), Observation (Type 3, Nene can use rumors to change a person's existence completely by just speaking. She changed the rumor of Kodama to make it less harmless. Rumors can also be used to change a person's form and conceptually erase opponents. Nene should scale to Sakura Nanamine, who is able to use rumors/observation to change the world's mind to make Mitsuba a mindless monster), Power Nullification (Is able to BFR people away from the human world via the Serverance. This nullifies dimensional travel, even if your range is greater than Nene's. This can be best seen when Mitsuba was affected by the Serverance despite him having better dimensional travel than Hanko. He wasn't able to travel back to the living world afterwards)

Resistances: Fear Manipulation and Mind Manipulation (Didn't go insane in the 3rd Wonder's boundary and wasn't bothered by the illusions after a bit of time) Observation (Humans are not affected by rumors), Time Manipulation (The story wasn't changed after she met Hanako in the past), Resistance to Law Manipulation (Is able to resist the Wonders changing the laws in their boundaries), Precognition (The books in the 4'clock Library were unable to read Nene's future. The books in said library are able to tell the future of a person flawlessly and Nene's book turned red and was unable to be read afterwards), Plot Manipulation (She knew that she was in a fictional story while everyone else, other than Hanako, Tsukasa, and Kou, didn't. In said boundaries, they can completely remove the laws of physics like gravity, Life and Death, etc. This can be best seen when Mitsuba wanted to become a human in his boundary. This version of Mitsuba is shown to be a pure apparition which was never alive in the living world to begin with, thus, making it impossible to become human in both the living world and the world of the dead. Mitsuba was later seen becoming a human in a boundary despite it being impossible), Passive Fate Manipulation (Hanako has been stated and showed to change his fate and other people's fate from the books in the 4'Clock Library. The books in the library are able to predict your past present and and future flawlessly. It was stated that you can't change your future no matter what you do. The books take in account any changes you try to make to change your future and the outcome will always stay the same. Hanako's book stated that he would grow up to become a teacher in his high school. Hanako changed his fate unknowingly by killing his brother at the age of 13 and dying soon afterwards. He has also able to change Nene's fated death. Nene was supposed to die within the next year and it was stated that it was impossible to change it. Another character, Kou, tried to find a way to change her fate so that she wouldn't die and failed multiple times. The 1st School Wonder, Mirai has the ability to make people's time go forward in order to make them age. She tried to move Nene's time forward and it was stated that Nene had no time left for her to move forward and couldn't age her at all. Hanako was able to passively change her fate while traveling in the 6th Wonder's boundary via having another character, Aoi, die and transfer her life force to Nene's destined death), Perspective Manipulation (Is able to make boundaries reflect his heart and his emotions and his and other boundaries), Reality Warping (Every School Wonder is able to freely manipulate the reality in their boundary), Save and Load (School Wonders are able to save and load upon death as seen when Tsukasa burned alive and came back)
