Everybody is special. Everybody. Everybody is a hero, a lover, a fool, a villain. Everybody. Everybody has their story to tell. Even Evey Hammond. I should very much like to hear Evey Hammond's story.

There, did you think to kill me? There's no flesh or blood within this cloak to kill. There's only an idea. Ideas are bulletproof, Farewell.

Background

V is the main protagonist of V for Vendetta a short comic book series created by Alan Moore and David Lloyd. V has no named but he refers to himself as V, along with this his true identify is never shown. He is an anarchist terrorist who seeks to free England from the Norsefire Party's control.

While most of V's origins are unknown we do learn that V was a prisoner at Larkhill Resettlement Camp where he was inhumanly experimented on which gave V schizophrenia as well as likely giving him his enhanced physical abilities. V would use his genius gardening skills to create napalm and mustard gas to escape Larkhill and would vow to topple England's government no matter what it takes.

Over the course of 4 years V would begin to secretly kill the 40 staff members of Larkhill to cover his tracks. On November 5th, 1997 where he would save Evey Hammond from some finger men late at night and during said night V would blow up the houses of Parliament and would reveal himself to the government while also taking Evey in to hide her from the government. V's crusade would end on November 9th, 1998 where police detective Edward Finch would find his hideout and would shoot V mortally wounding him. V would die in Evey's arms and his body would be blown up at Downing Street as his final attack of terrorism.

Despite his death his ideas would live on through Evey who would become a new V who would continue his movement by helping the people build a new government.
