Background

Rushuna Tendo (Born on June 3) is the main protagonist of the series. She is a busty, 16-year-old blond senshi who was trained in the manner of gunfire and protecting those around her by Soun.

A former pre-Juttensen candidate, she is trained in the use of a revolver, specializing in shooting to disable rather than to kill using a form of Gun-Kata as seen in the final battle with Setsuna. Rushuna fights to find her homeland unlike in the anime where she fights to end strife and chaos. She has excellent tactical analytical skills, being able to discern her opponents' weaknesses in the heat of battle and adjust accordingly to exploit them with the tools at her disposal. Rushuna has a weakness for taking hot baths, and she indulges in this pursuit frequently. There are signs that she has feelings for Yajirou but does not want to follow up with them until her objective is over. Rushuna earns the title of "Grenadier" from Shoun, marking that she’s the strongest in the land. In the manga, many people point out that Rushuna is a foreigner (or at least of foreign ancestry) because of her natural blond hair and large bust. She also had an older sister who rivaled her in skill but was corrupted by the Baron Iron Mask. She was raised by the eccentric Soun who taught her everything she knew. This differs from the anime in that she was trained in the Capital. At the end of the manga series, she visits her homeland, and after that she marries Yajirou Kojima.

Can hit back and deflect her own bullets which are capable of shooting through Kibanten The First’s machine gun bullets. Broke apart Kibanten the First’s armor that was bulletproof and stated not even cannon fire could dull it with the hammer of her gun. Can easily break falling rocks. Can pull apart her own gun which was incapable of even being dented by something as hard as diamond. Can shoot bullets with just her cylinder through kicking hard enough. When she ran out of bullets she hit with enough force to become a bullet herself allowing Yajirou to cut through a large cannon. Could harm the King who tanked the explosion of Furuon Castle Can harm those who can harm her. Rushuna is a Grenadier which Iron Baron Mask notes as the “strongest senshi in the world”. Comparable to Yajirou Kojima who cut a missile in half and defeated Tekkaiki who single-handedly destroyed an entire city district. Able to do the "clashing tactic" which requires her in a split second to read the path of the bullets aimed at her and intercept them with her own shots. Can intercept and deflect her own shots fired back at her. Can kick hard enough to make all of the bullets in her cylinder fire out like if shot from an actual gun. Avoided bullets from Teppa Aizen. Could avoid a point blank shot. Avoided explosions. Avoided many explosions from Touka Kurenai, with her even commenting on Rushuna being nimble. Avoided a rocket launcher. Was capable of avoiding hits from Kibanten the First upon noticing him. Dodged an energy blast from Kibanten the First without noticing him. Dodged a point blank explosion while caught off-guard. Stated she would have avoided Teppa Aizen’s spiral spear if Yajirou didn’t come save her {due to how she was avoiding all of Teppa’s attacks prior and that she’s not known for bragging or lying this statement can be taken as legitimate}) | Massively Hypersonic (Avoided a bullet flung by Namari at close range. Lifting Strength: Superhuman (Can easily pop off the sunflower part of her gun, something Mikan Kurenai can’t even budge. Circumvented soundwaves that are powerful enough to cause vibrations in air to make a wall of sound allowing nothing to pass (including her own bullets) with her own soundwave she made by lifting and spinning her barrel, in which she revealed she was holding back during this fight. Should be comparable to Yajirou, who overpowered Tekkaiki’s sword at full power to the point that he cut in in half. The sword is so large it reaches him in size along with rockets to propel it further, with Yajirou even commenting originally that if the sword hit him he’d turned into bits) | At least Superhuman

Standard Equipment: Revolvers Himawari 38 and Cosmos. Other tools are: a knife, saltpeters, lamp, rations, a comb and bandages.

Intelligence: Average when relaxed (Rushuna in a state of relaxation is gullible and has a childlike innocent though has a basic grasp over things), Extraordinary Genius when serious (As a child she was able to pull an instant reload after seeing Shoun do it. In her first ever fight, beat a foreigner who used a gatling gun with an acorn launcher through aiming perfectly at the bullet holes of his gatling gun. Fights and avoids all the bullets while loading her gun against a bunch of armed men with machine guns while she only has a revolver. The Iron Baron Mask states she possesses great skill. Stormed an entire castle by herself and beat all the guards armed only with a revolver. Upon facing an enemy whose armor caused her bullets to fly off, she stacked bullets on top of each other with perfect aim to cause an exponential increase in attack allowing her to pierce armor. Could instantly tell something was a trap from the smoke. Took out all armed soldiers in the time the leader shot out his gatling gun. The leader proceeded to note she had amazing fighting abilities. Was able to shoot the leader from a far distance away with just a revolver. Was able to hit Rokumon’s inner power mechanism in only one shot. Did this all while she hasn’t eaten in four days. Fought Touka to a standstill, all the while holding back more than she usually does due to Touka’s sickness. Touka is noted as a Juttensen, the ten most skilled and powerful warriors in the world. Touka later states that Rushuna’s marksmanship is unequaled. Easily beat around hundreds of gun men in a duel that Mikan commented that she was “playing” in. Able to do the "clashing tactic" which requires her in a split second to read the path of the bullets aimed at her and intercept them with her own shots. After her opponent noticed that her superhuman sight allowed her to have great aim he attempted to cover the area in dust making her unable to see, which she countered by shooting to determine his position and reach him easily and thought of this plan all within a split second. Managed to pull off two attack cycles with a reload in between to be able to use her .38 revolver, making Teppa state she was “absolutely marvelous”. Diverted Teppa’s attack with her cylinder frame. Teppa even goes on to comment on how she’s extremely skilled to defeat him. Can find the exact location of someone from hearing their voice. Still able to stand and shoot with good accuracy even after her equilibrium was off. Against an enemy using sound waves to cancel out her attacks she immediately responded by creating a sound wave of her own circumventing the sound waves and was noted that she was actively holding back against the enemy. Was able to dodge a bullet at close range which was commented on by Namari to take impressive power and skill. Was capable of finding a plan to escape the missiles while on a balloon by latching the kite strings onto a cliff allowing her to convert the momentum of their descent. Fought and defeated a Juttensen underwater where she could not aim regularly and was struggling to breathe using the air bubbles of a torpedo to be able to shoot and aim her bullet correctly. After Juza, who was stated to never lose a fight completely dismantled her gun she used the cylinder and kicked hard enough to fire bullets from it. She was able to fix her gun after Juza took it apart in a short timeframe. Was able to deflect her own bullets deflected back at her. Mimic’d Teppa’s Gaifu Senjutsu upon seeing it once. Fought her sister Namari who was stated by her teacher Shoun to surpass her in skill but she outskilled her over the course of the fight. Was able to dual wield guns to get past Namari’s ability to read her movements and her bullets trajectory but altering the course of the bullets trajectory by having them bounce off each other. After Namari was able to still block this she shot all 12 bullets close enough to each other to deflect the flames making Namari unable to melt the bullets and was able to make the bullets change their path without colliding surpassing Namari's ability to predict where the bullets are going to hit. The technique she used to defeat her was a technique she mastered without ever practicing it. Rushuna was titled with the name “Grenadier” which is given to the world’s most skilled warriors and should be comparable to Yajirou in skill who earned the title “World’s Greatest Swordsman” from his skill, never losing another battle again)

Standard Tactics: Rushuna’s go to tactic is hitting enemies in non-lethal spots knocking them out and using various forms of Gun-Fu in order to incapacitate her opponent. She will also analyze for any weaknesses of her opponent to exploit to get the battle over with fast. She also uses the field around her while continuously avoiding attacks with her quick reflexes and agility. Add onto her long ranged pursuit and use of the environment and she can essentially hide around while attacking her opponent. She also will use her grappling hook for further mobility. If the enemy is bullet proof she will either opt to use her bullet stack, explosive rounds, or trick the enemy by charging at them and using the hammer of her gun to break through their armor. If she gets serious she will enter her mode where her Emblem Glows making her faster and stronger.

Weaknesses: Rushuna is a natural pacifist and holds back against most people she faces in order to not kill them. She has a natural weakness for hot springs and is somewhat gullible outside of battle. If someone can call out her trying to create a diversion it’ll be written all over her face this is the case as she seems to not be good at lying. If her muscles are paralyzed she’ll have a harder time shooting, though she can still shoot to an extent with sheer will. She also has a limit to the number of bullets due to using a revolver.

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

• Himawari 38 Point Blank Range Tatic: Rushuna removes the hammer from her revolver and smashes it back into her gun, which exerts force on the target and combines the impact with a shot immediately after.

• Himawari 38 Short Distance Shooting Technique: Shooting Star: Rushuna kicks the cylinder of her revolver into the air, then jumps high into the air and loads it with ammunition before delivering a powerful kick where she uses bullets as a firing hammer to strike the primers of the bullets in the cylinder to deliver more impact force than the revolver itself.

• Dual Gun Technique: Crossfore: Rushuna shoots two bullets for both of her revolvers and makes them collide in mid flight, thus altering their trajectories.

• Jiji Jikiden Dual Gun Technique Super Rainbow Star: Rushuna fires multiple bullets from both Cosmos and the Himawari .38, the bullets from both guns rotate in opposite directions, creating a repulsion current while increasing each other's rotation, causing the paths of the bullets to change without collisions, making the technique unpredictable.

Note: This is Rushuna Tendo based on the manga, not the one from the anime who has a completely different reason for setting off on her adventure. This also is the Rushuna named after the original Rushuna who was a hero of legend.
