SCP-106, mid-emergence.
SCP-106, mid-emergence.

Background

SCP-106 resembles an elderly humanoid with signs of severe decomposition, though its decayed appearance can vary. The "rotting" characteristic is always present. SCP-106 lacks exceptional agility and can remain motionless for extended periods, waiting for prey. It is capable of climbing vertical surfaces and can hang upside down indefinitely. During an attack, SCP-106 disables its prey by targeting major organs, muscle groups, or tendons before dragging them into its pocket dimension. It appears to favor human prey between the ages of 10 and 25.

SCP-106 causes a "corrosion" effect on any solid matter it touches, leading to a physical breakdown a few seconds after contact. This effect manifests as rusting, rotting, cracking, and the creation of a black, mucus-like substance similar to the material covering SCP-106. The corrosion is especially harmful to living tissues and is believed to serve as a form of "pre-digestion." This effect continues for six hours after initial contact, eventually "burning out."

SCP-106 can pass through solid matter, leaving behind patches of its corrosive mucus. It can also disappear into solid surfaces, entering what is assumed to be a "pocket dimension." SCP-106 can then reappear at any location connected to its original entry point, such as entering a wall and exiting through the ceiling. Whether this dimension is SCP-106's origin or simply a lair remains unknown.

Limited observations of this pocket dimension reveal it consists mostly of halls and rooms, with individuals sometimes being released, seemingly for the purpose of hunting or recapture.

Containment Status: Contained (Physical interaction with SCP-106 is banned, requiring approval by no less than two-thirds vote from O5-Command, they are contained within a seled conainer, comprised of lead-lined steel. The container is sealed within forty layers of identical material, each layer separated by no less than 36 cm of empty space, support struts between layers are randomly spaced, and container is suspended no less than 60 cm from any surface by ELO-IDD electromagnetic supports)

Affiliations: None

Enemies: Humans (SCP-106 appears to prefer human prey items in the 10-25 years of age bracket)

Height: Unknown

Weight: Unknown

Status: Alive

Alignment: Chaotic Evil (SCP-106 appears to hunt and attack based on desire, not hunger. It will attack and collect multiple preys during a hunting behavior event, keeping many "alive" in the pocket dimension for an extended period of time. SCP-106 will then "play" with captured prey)

Threat Level: Metropolitan Threats (SCP-106 will emerge from its dormant state into a very agitated state where it will attack and abduct staff and cause gross damage to its containment cell and the site at large)

Codex Statistics

Grade: A

Tier: Low 10-B. Can ignore conventional durability with Corrosion Inducement

Cardinality: Finite

Dimensionality: 3-D

Attack Potency: Below Average Human level (SCP-106 appears to be an elderly humanoid, with a general appearance of advanced decomposition). Can ignore conventional durability with Corrosion Inducement (SCP-106 causes a corrosion effect in all solid matter it touches, engaging a physical breakdown in materials several seconds after contact)

Durability: Below Average Human level

Striking Strength: Below Average Human Class

Lifting Strength: Below Average Human Class

Travel Speed: Below Average Human Speed (SCP-106 is not exceptionally agile, and will remain motionless for days at a time)

Attack Speed: Below Average Human Speed

Reaction Speed: Below Average Human Reactions

Stamina: Superhuman+ (SCP-106 appears to go through long periods of "dormancy", in which it will remain motionless for up to three months)

Range: Standard Melee, Cross-Universal with Battlefield Removal (When attacking, SCP-106 will attempt to incapacitate prey by damaging major organs, muscle groups, or tendons, then pull disabled prey into its pocket dimension, where it has full control of time, space, and perception inside of its dimension)

Intelligence: Animalistic Intelligence (SCP-106 is able to be easily lured by traps of putting an injured subject in an area wher eit will run to immedieatly. Exhibits animal-like traits, such as entering a state of "dormancy" in which it will remain completely motionless in order to be used as a "lulling tactic")

Knowledge: Animalistic level

Powers and Techniques

Surface Scaling (SCP-106 is capable of scaling any vertical surface and can remain suspended upside down indefinitely), Self-Sustenance (Nutritional; SCP-106 appears to go through long periods of "dormancy", in which it will remain motionless for up to three months, without eating during this entire period), Berserk Mode (SCP-106 will emerge from its dormant state into a very agitated state where it will attack and abduct staff and cause gross damage to its containment cell and the site at large), Intangibility (Phasing; SCP-106 is capable of passing through solid matter, leaving behind a large patch of its corrosive mucus), Dimensional Travel (SCP-106 is able to "vanish" inside solid matter, entering what is assumed to be a form of "pocket dimension, SCP-106 is then able to exit this dimension from any point connected to the initial entry point), Invulnerability (Direct physical damage appears to have no effect on SCP-106), Pocket Reality Manipulation & Battlefield Removal (Application Based; When attacking, SCP-106 will attempt to incapacitate prey by damaging major organs, muscle groups, or tendons, then pull disabled prey into its pocket dimension), Corrosion Manipulation (SCP-106 causes a corrosion effect in all solid matter it touches, engaging a physical breakdown in materials several seconds after contact. Corrosion continues for six hours after contact, after which the effect appears to "burn out"), Consumption (Physical Consumption; The corrosion is observed as rusting, rotting, and cracking of materials, and the creation of a black, mucus-like substance similar to the material coating SCP-106, this effect is particularly detrimental to living tissues and is assumed to be a "pre-digestion" action), Perception Manipulation & Space-Time Manipulation within its dimension (SCP-106 has full control of time, space, and perception inside of its dimension)

Equipment

Nothing notable.

Other

Standard Tactics: SCP-106 often enters extended periods of inactivity, staying completely still for up to three months. The reason for this behavior is unclear, but it seems to function as a tactic to lull others into a false sense of security. When SCP-106 comes out of this dormant state, it becomes highly agitated, attacking and abducting personnel while causing significant damage to its containment area and the facility. During attacks, SCP-106 targets key organs, muscle groups, or tendons to disable its prey before dragging them into its pocket dimension. It seems to prefer human prey between the ages of 10 and 25.

Weaknesses: SCP-106 has shown a slight "resistance" when passing through lead or other similar metals, multiple layers of thin material appear to "slow" SCP-106, forcing it to enter and re-emerge multiple times. Fluids appear to temporarily "confuse" SCP-106.
