Friday Night Funkin' - Tutorial

Background

Girlfriend is Boyfriend's love interest and the daughter of Daddy Dearest and Mommy Mearest. Her love with boyfriend has transformed her to look like a human but she is still a demon with unknown powers. She is usually seen sitting on top of the speakers, bopping her head to the tempo of the music and cheering you on. During the Tutorial, she teaches you how to play and keeps track of your combos throughout the game.

Codex Statistics

Grade: A

Tier: 10-A

Cardinality: Finite

Dimensionality: 3-D

Attack Potency: Peak Human level (Was stated that Pico didn't need to help Girlfriend and Boyfriend and Week 7 since they already have it covered. This means Girlfriend would be able to easily wipe out the Tankman army without help or a weapon at all. This was also already implied in game as well[1])

Durability: Peak Human level (Is implied to be superior to Boyfriend due to being a demon)

Striking Strength: Peak Human Class

Lifting Strength: Unknown

Travel Speed: Regular Human

Attack Speed: Superhuman

Reaction Speed: Superhuman (Moves immediately when a lightning strike happens being capable of fully moving her body the exact frame it comes out which would require her to move this fast[2])

Stamina: Average

Range: Standard Melee, Hundreds of Meters with singing (Naturally attacks using singing which sound can travel nearly 340 meters)

Intelligence: At least Below Average regularly (Noted that her and Boyfriend are like Skid and Pump in that they're not smart enough to realize if they're in danger or they're simply confident enough to know they'll get through the situation. Taught Boyfriend how to beatbox)

Powers and Techniques

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Absorption (Friday Night Funkin' characters are able to drain their opponents health by their opponent missing the notes of their song and by currently winning the rap battle), Durability Negation (Should scale to every other rapper, who can break Boyfriend's bones if he gets out-rapped), Time Manipulation and Resurrection (Stated to be able to make Boyfriend retry[3] after his bones crack in a game over just by sitting down on her speakers[4], is able to make bf retry even if his skin is rip off), possibly Non-Standard Interaction (Should scale to the Boyfriend who potentially incapped the spirit, as after defeating him in a rap battle he does not get possessed, can grab boyfriend soul before goes to heaven[5]), possible Supernatural Resilience (Can still move in the game over screen where both sides bones are broken).

Resistance to Possession (Wasn't possessed by Senpai), Mind Manipulation (Was stated to not be able to be hypnotized or mindcontrolled into not loving Boyfriend)

Equipment

Boombox

The boombox she naturally sits on while any week starts, it seems to have greater durability then an actual boombox as it took no damage from a fall from a plane.

Other

Standard Tactics: Sits down and bobs her head back and forth, otherwise we haven't directly seen any other strategy.

Weaknesses: If Girlfriend is beaten in a rap battle, she will have her bones shattered. Though this is only a weakness in-verse as this is a specific ability all users share.

Note: The reason characters in Friday Night Funkin' share the same abilities from singing is because rap battles are the main method of battle in Friday Night Funkin' and they have been shown to be deadly as Boyfriend breaks his bones through losing these battles and requires Girlfriend to rewind time so he can try again after his skeleton cracks and he dies. (The NSFW part specifically is a joke, Girlfriend revives him by setting the battle to the beginning just by sitting down on the speakers and can even do it while Boyfriend holds her as shown here) The official itch.io page directly states that characters such as Daddy Dearest are trying to kill him and not to die in the instructions with the only way of dying being to lose a rap battle. Daddy Dearest also hired Pico as a bounty hunter to kill Boyfriend and there are implications of even more going on during rap battles in canon. Characters that very clearly want to kill/possess Boyfriend and Girlfriend on the spot such as Monster and Spirit lead with starting a rap battle and singing. Boyfriend survives all of these situations unharmed by winning the rap battles. Tankman even implies that boyfriend was killed by losing the rap battle itself and not to mention every character has a death icon when they are pushed all the way to the end of the bar that shows who is winning the rap battle. That same bar is also directly called a health bar by Phantom Arcade.
