Background

Molli Pop, the hero of our journey! Molli is a quiet girl but will not hesitate to speak her mind when she feels something is amiss. She can give a standoffish vibe to those who do not know her, but her eccentric pink hair and cool demeanor, inherited from her father, make her fairly popular among her classmates. She sets out to the mansion after her friends dare her to do so - though her reason for going through with such a dare is primarily to shut them up about the ridiculous rumors, as opposed to giving in to peer pressure. Who knew she would end up in such a mess? She is still a bit shocked that the mansion is ACTUALLY haunted.

Soules are the main currency of candies n curses, they are used to "purchase" new flashlight and charms (they are given to Bunber so that he can uses them to break the curse affecting them) but can also be used for other uses such as giving Molli Soul heart points if she uses the devour charm.

Ectoplasm is used to upgrade items that have already been "purchase" by infusing them with it which makes them stronger and can grant them brand new abilties


  • Molli's Flashlight: The flashlight Molli brought with her to the mansion. Her father gave it to her so she'd be safe coming home at night. He probably wouldn't have guessed she'd use it for ghost-hunting. Reliable, sturdy, and simple: there's really nothing quite like it. Molli even built a device that lets her attatch it to her bicycle for stylish, safe night-riding! It damages enemies in front of Molli and gives her an increased chance that defeated enemies will drop hearts

  • Olly's Flashlight: A beat-up, worn-out flashlight that belongs to Olly. He gives it to Molli as a gift for listening to his long winded tale of a tragic love story. But isn't it dangerous for Olly to give Molly his only means of self-defense? You'de be right, but Olly always carries an emergency spare. Safety first!

  • Atomic Fenix MX: A burning red flashlight with a strange attachment that produces a magical flame. Apparently, Bunber frequently used this gadget when taking inventory in the mansion's freezer. It damages enemies in front and has a chance to produce a flame that damages enemies.

  • Pulverizer MP40: A flashlight with explosive circuitry, allowing it to fire powerful magic grenades from it's bulb. It's quite heavy, but any flashlight with the fancy mechanical engineering to produce bombs would be. It damages enemies in front and occasionally fires a grenade that erupts in a pillar of fire.

  • Gorger's Lamp: A lamp-like cage that contains a creature with an insatiable appetite for ghosts and other-worldly beings. It's body is made of cursed light, and will slay any ghost it touches. As it fills its belly, it can release a shockwave of light that vaporizes nearby enemies. It sounds pretty scary, but the creature is actually quite cute! It damages enemies in front of Molli and releases a powerful light aura around Molli when the Gorger has a full belly.

  • King's Beacon: A bulky flashlight that holds the power of the Ghost King. Anyone who wields this weapon will be bestowed kingly power, wearing a spectral crown that gives them the right to rule over Wraiths. It's never been spookier to be king! It damages enemies in front of Molli and equips her with a crown that can damage enemies when jumping at them from below. Wraiths slain with the crown become allies (up to 6), but vanish upon losing 4 HP

    King's Beacon

  • Worm Light: A flashlight constructed from one of the Phantom Worm's body links. Channel your inner worm and be the leader of your own personal chain of candy critters. It also makes a great reading light. It damages enemies in front of Molli and every 6 ghosts defeated, a candy bon bon will spawn and trail behind Molli (up to 4). Bon bons damage enemies on contact, and occasionally fires projectiles, the tail end piece will explode when Molli takes damage.
  • Firefly Lantern: A lantern that holds the ever-burning essence of a ghostly firefly. This essence materializes itself in the form of three sphere-like creatures that orbit around Molli. Although originating from the same ghostly entity, each sphere of light actually has its own personality! It makes spheres of light orbit Molli, damaging enemies and increased chance that defeated enemies will drop more souls.

  • Torchfly Lantern: A powerful Torchfly lives inside the confines of this sturdy lantern. The orbs that rotate around Molli are intensely hot, and can melt any ghost they touch. It taught itself to fire projectiles by observing the various Spitters that live in the mansion. It makes spheres of light orbit Molli which damage enemies and it fires exploding fireballs.

  • Virusfly Lantern: A firefly that's been tainted by venomous lime extract, the Virusfly is a highly toxic creature that must be kept inside the lantern at all times. It's essence takes the form of green light spheres, that orbit Molli. Luckily, these spheres of light aren't poisonous enough to harm Molli. But they'll disintegrate ghosts with the slightest touch! It makes virus flies orbit Molli and have a chance of producing deadly poison puddles when destroying an enemy.

  • Hot Head's Chamberstick: A candle burning with the flame of the Fire Spirit. The hottest of all flames, it engulfs its holder in ghostly fire, and protects them with a ring of wisps. If you've ever wanted to be as cool as the Fire Spirit, this is your chance! Molli is engulfed in enchanted fire, increasing her fire resistance, and five fire wisps orbit Molli, damaging enemies. Wisps are snuffed out when they destroy an enemy, but quickly respawn.

  • Phantom's Lantern: The ultimate lantern. A piece of the Phantom King's core is locked away inside this powerful relic, forever burning with a cursed flame. Each orb represents a different part of the Phantom King's essence: greed, rage, and cunning. When they come together, the omega power is unleashed! It makes candy spheres orbit around Molli, damaging any enemy that touches them. Candy spheres charge up with every ghost slain- reaching max charge will put Molli into Overdrive, greatly increasing the rotation speed of the candy spheres for a short time. Unleash Sugar Storm by slaying 15 ghosts while in Overdrive.

  • Buster Blade 9000: A magical sword that can cut through even the toughest ghosts! The hilt is that of a flashlight, and turning the power on causes the blade to materialize. Perfect for those who's only "weapon" experience comes from wielding standard, household flashlights! Molli swings a blade in the direction of the player's swipe, damaging enemies and increasing the chance that defeated enemies will drop soul hearts.

  • Scorch Blade 9000R: A ghost-hunting blade that's been dipped in refined sugar-magma. It can cut through steel like a hot knife through butter. Just don't use it for any actual cooking as it's probably too dangerous. Molli swings a blade in the direction of the player's swipe, damaging enemies and it has a chance to produce a damaging flame and spawn laval pools on walls.

  • Blight Blade 9000X: A blade enchanted with the essence of cursed dreams. Thousands of nightmares have been captured within the steel of this sword - each nightmare exponentially increasing its ghoul-crushing power. Molli swings a blade in the direction of the player's swipe, damaging enemies and it has a chance to produce an exploding poison bubble and spawn poison pools on walls.

    Blight Blade 9000X

  • Necro Scythe: A scythe imbued with the Necro Witch's dark magic. Raise the dead as you send ghosts to the world beyond. The only thing it can't do is make you a better dancer. Molli swings a blade in the direction of the player's swipe, damaging enemies and it has a chance to summon Bubble Gum Bones to aid you (up to 6), but are destroyed when Molli takes damage. Bubble Gum Bones will spawn a poison puddle in the place they vanished.
  • Jack'o Slash Blade: A blade forged from the remains of cursed garden shears. A bit of Jack's laughter has been trapped inside its steel, so every slash is sure to give its wielder a chuckle or two. It's also a great tool for flinging bombs at your enemies. Molli swings a blade in the direction of the player's swipe, damaging enemies and for every 6 ghosts slain spawns a bomb that explodes upon being slashed up (up to 4). Slashing 3 of these bombs will charge her blade, allowing Molli to unleash a powerful vine attack

  • Beauty Charm: Luscious lips that invoke a sense of beauty. Feel a surge of vitality with these bodacious smoochers clipped to your flashlight. It allows Molli to start with +16 Heart Points
  • Virus Charm: A spooky charm resembling a skull and crossbones. It's quite toxic, so please keep it away from pets for small children. with it Molli takes reduced poison damage but increased fire damage.
  • Ecto-Collector: Bring along this star-shaped charm if you're a professional ectoplasm collector. It Increases the chance that defeated monsters drop ectoplasm by 3x.

  • Undead Charm: A charm in the shape of a creepy gravestone. Be one with your undeadness with this charm attached to your flashlight. It allows Molli to start with 40 Soul Heart Points, but she loses 12 maximum Heart Points.
  • Devour Charm: This soul-shaped charm is creepier looking than it should be. This little guy is just hungry! It allows Molli to eat souls in order to use them as Soul Hearts.
  • Charisma Charm: These charismatic sparkles are sure to add an extra spark to your step, giving you a bit more time to rebalance yourself after taking a hit. It increase invincibility time by 2x.

  • Zappy Taffy: An electrically sweet piece of golden taffy that will send sugary sparks down your spine. It allows Molli to charge a protective electric aura every 18 seconds. When fully charged it deals damage.


  • Devil's Bargain: Have you ever considered making a deal with the devil? Here's an opportunity. It makes Molli give up half her max Heart Points to double your current Soul Heart Points and boost the strength of Soul Hearts by 2x.

  • Last Stand Curse: When the going gets tough, sometimes you have to muster that last bit of strength to move forward. It vonverts all of Molli's missing Heart Points into Soul Heart Points.

  • Living Dead Curse: As gross as carrying around a severed, zombie hand may be - it'll summon Zeke to help you throughout the mansion. Just stay clear of him when he bursts from the ground, unless you want an undead fist to the face... It allows Molli to summon Zeke

  • Mad Rush Curse: A cursed hourglass that boosts your vitality at the cost of super speed. Actually, that doesn't sound like much of a curse - until you realize how hard it is to evade all manner of ghostly creatures while sprinting down a corridor swarming with them! Molli Gain +40 Soul Heart Points, but it increases Speed +30%.

  • Punching Bag Curse: A boxer's favorite curse. Will let you take more hits to the head, but don't expect any breaks during the match! It lowers Physical damage by -0.5x, but Soul Heart and Heart Drop multiplier is reduced to 0.

  • Purified Curse: Purified soul juice. In this liquid form, you can basically drink a ghost. Though you might not like ALL of the side effects. It makes Molli give up half her max Heart Points but heal her after every room.

You decide whether carrying it around is worth its effect, as you'll probably scare off more than a few friends with this in hand. It makes enemies hitting you also getting damaged and also reduce Poison damage by -0.5x but it increases fire damage by +1x
  • Undead Curse: Ready to join the ranks of the undead? This is your chance! Better get used to the smell of rot. It makes Molli lose all her Heart Points, but gain +80 Soul Heart Points.
  • Void Curse: Become the soul vacuum you've always wanted to be. Just realize great power and financial success comes with a hefty cost. It allows continually suck souls out of nearby enemies, but lose half your max Heart Points.

Other

Standard Tactics: Molli will use her numerous flashlights and charms in order to work her way around any opponent, and thanks to her charms, candies and curses, Molli starts with Interesting effects such as the summoning of numerous allies and forcefields forming around her. if Molli notices her opponent is a powerful ghost/Cursed she'll use the Peppermint of Souls to devour it
